Did the Reisen player ever fight that guy from the last thread? I wanted to see what tricks he discovered with Eyesight Cleaning.

>> No.7421499

I don't think he did, no.

That guy posted a video of him gigglepooping on CPU Yuyu, though.

I think I'm going to ask here, how the hell do you deal with Suika? I hate fighting her. I don't know why, but it seems as if so many of her attacks beat mine even if they come out later. F5A? Gets beaten out by 66C. It's the same with a lot of her moves, I can't hit her and she's a pain to deal with. It's even worse when I use Meiling, most of my attacks seem to get beaten by hers.

>> No.7421523

Fight games are dildos.

>> No.7421560

>>7421520
I was a Suika main when I played the game, and the biggest thing I can tell you is to block if you're not sure. Suika can't put on the pressure like the really good characters can, so you can block a lot more than usual and throw out attacks when you know you're gonna win out. Granted, you're gonna have to come out eventually, since she CAN force movement with 5C, but she doesn't have nasty blockstrings and corner rape like, say, Sakuya does.

Also, watch for the 2Cs. They're her best spacing move, and they come out quick, but they're way more effective if she uses them closer to you. Don't let her space you with them and she's a slow Youmu with a graze attack.

>> No.7421581

>>7421560

I see...I guess the big problem is that I usually find myself beaten by the range on her melee moves combined with her small size, although her bullets give me some troubles as well. I like being aggressive and I feel as if it's not working at all. She's the only AI that I might occasionally lose a match to when I use some of the characters I'm worse at.

other skills I use are alt nado 236, domination dash and alt 22 tengu drum

aaa 2b 6c (wallslam) is a basic aya combo. at that point depending on distance you can chain another one, try to surprise with a crossup (or fake crossup), use a spellcard (4card crows will combo, amongst others)

if they're on the ground and you land a j5a, you can just keep doing j6b 66 j5a j6b 66 j5a j6b and then 214B (some other things work too, even tengu drum will combo in corner)

if you have nado alt skill : aaa 2b 5c 236c hj5c

also you can cancel tengu drum stomp with spellcards, as well as the follow up

>> No.7430282

Of course they won't 'work for you' if you suck with them. I bet you don't use 6c or 2b, either
Persistant projectiles are good because they allow to pressure the opponent while letting you move where you want on the screen. Not only do crows stay out a long time, but you can set them on yourself or over the opponent, they don't disappear when you get hit, and they absorb any attacks.

>>7430292
Sure, the crows themselves don't do much, but if you can't follow up crow hits with a combo, that shows a lack of skill on your part by either having slow reaction times or not moving with them properly.
I'm not sure how 'impenetrable to all forms of attack' doesn't count as dense to you. Maybe if you're looking for soemthing that passes through other attacks, but if tha's the case, you're using the wrong character. And ignoring 6c. Half a zoomed-in horizontal screen distance, full vertical zoom distance, plus the distance they cover while coming on screen is too small an attack range?? lol. If you haven't noticed, since 1.10, all moves have been nerfed at the default level. One skill card is all it takes to make the card even better than it already is. Higher than that is almost overkill with the number of crows you get, which also increases its duration.

What better way to take advantage of Aya's strengths than to completely shut down the opponent's attacks and restrict their movement whilst having complete freedom to move and attack as you see fit?

>> No.7430355

>Guess that's hard to do if you're worried about who to believe and where the information comes from instead of the information itself.

Why shouldn't I be worried about who to believe and the source of the information? As a fighting game fan, I know that inevitably, some moves or even characters will be very difficult to use well if not utterly useless. There's a lot of things I don't understand about fighting games. I'm wrong about a lot of things. It's gotten to the point where I feel like it's better if I just shut up my own stupid face and let other people tell me what to do and work with that. But then you get people telling me to use one move while someone else tells me it's useless and I need to use another. It's overwhelming, it's confusing, and it's off-putting because I'm left at the same place I was before I asked - with no idea what I'm supposed to do.

If he stopped the game, yeah that's kind of silly. I don't like being stopped mid match no matter how badly I'm getting annihilated.

I switched characters after one game. There was no game after the second. I don't understand why you are unable to practice Soku against an Alice player, and I don't particularly care that you're taking offense because you're being incredibly unreasonable.

>>7430623
I didn't quit the game just to change characters. I knocked you out with Okuu so I switched to Alice (game ended, "I don't read newspapers quotes" came up), particularly given how the Okuu versus Aya matchup is one of the most infuriating play if you can't take advantage of Aya's quick moves to punish Okuu's slow ones and get utterly crushed by her gigantic dense bullets.

If somebody recognizes that they can utterly crush me with Iku, I would rather have them switch to a matchup that will be less crushing because I would rather play a game than be a punching bag.

What are you talking about? The game didn't end, we both still had health. I didn't get any victory quote, the game just ended right in the middle. That's a bald-faced lie.

Then we had a desync, as on my end I saw that I knocked you out, and my screen showed Okuu's "I'm sorry, I don't usually read newspapers," victory quote over Aya.

How is that even possible? How is it posible for one person to be further ahead in the SAME MATCH than the other person?! That makes no goddamn sense.

It starts with a "D" and ends with an "esync."

On my end, I threw up a Subterranean Sun, comboed 5A into 3A and you went into the sun and took infinity damage.

My replay, on the other, is completely broken.

You're trying to tell me that you were fighting me in the fucking future? Then what was I doing on your end, just standing there? That's utter bullshit.

>> No.7430692

>>7430683
No, I'm trying to tell you that there was a desync, so your inputs weren't getting through, so our game states started to differ. I'm assuming your inputs didn't go through, because you didn't block my 5A.

There's no need for me to explain anything more than that. Desyncs happen all the fucking time. If you choose to disbelieve in them and instead choose to believe in your paranoid conspiracy theory that I made up all this shit just to make you look stupid that's not my problem..

Holy shit. Is this the first time you've ever played a fighting game online? How retarded can you be?

I have never ever had someone either quit on me and tell me they won, or beat someone and had them tell me I abandoned the match. This is literally the first time it's happened, so I'm a little leery of someone who claims they won a match that got abandoned halfway through.

I could throw out a whole lot of flames, but I'm just going to leave this thread alone now.

Goodnight.

This usually only happens with a wireless connections or long lags. The player killing the other first in his game gets the victory quote and the other is directly sent to character select. I had this happen to me about five times out of 1000 and half of them with the same player.
The only reason to escape a match is because you don't like the stage or got the wrong character. But this happens before the match initially starts. Or of course a ragequit, but here you will be sent to the network screen anyway.
So if the other player does f.5A from the other side of the battlefield and eats about everything you throw out, don't just think he's mocking you.

I wonder if I should bother re-installing this. I never seem to learn anything in this game.
