Depends. I would personally recommend starting with the original, moving on to Z, then ZZ and watch the movie. After that watch whatever you want. Skip Gundam X, G Gundam, and 00, they're shit.

If you're wanting to get into Gundam franchise I would not recommend G Gundam at all. As a Gundam series, it is shit. As a super robot series, it's ok and it's fine to like it for that.

Even though I love Laputa, Kiki and Porco Rosso I dont really think they should all be rank so highly. I dont really see any innovation or unique story/theme from howl or spirited away.
