Why is it that visual novel groups get all butthurt about piracy, when anime/manga fansubbers don't and most of the groups pirate anime/manga.

>No. In fact, do not be looking for us to be doing any full-length translations of commercial works ever again. You can thank your colleagues that pirated planetarian for that.

planetarian was an erogue?

Most anime don't have a support disc to break. Also slightly different dynamics due to the fact that anime DOES get licensed. Basically if you pirate anime you're not taking any money out of the hands of the creators, only the American companies like ADV. The animation studios still get their licensing fees no matter how badly the DVDs flop here. Since VNs don't get licensed, it's a matter of pirating vs. importing an expensive ass game from Japan, rather than pirating vs. waiting and buying a R1 DVD. Plus, elitism. Anime and manga are simply pop art, but VNs are "literature" and that breeds a whole different kind of faggot.

AND THAT'S TERRIBLE.
