Oh god yes.

Any tips for finding the safespot for her second last card? I usually can find something that is good until the round blue bullets but then I always get hit by something then. Tried watching replays multiple times but I just can't seem to get it. I also keep fuckign up on boundary of human and youkai.

It's probably your movement pattern. Or you just need to get good enough at the rest that you can bomb spam your way through it.

I feel like it just happens. The least you can do is redirect the aimed bubble waves so you can sit underneath Yukari then hope for the best. Some of the world-class Phantasm runs don't have a successful safespot open up (but enough so they can use minimal movements).

>> No.7407972

>>7407951
Yes. However, it's trivially easy to dodge until the yellow and blue waves come out, and you can usually last for a couple seconds even after the fact. Then the bomb clears the screen, and it takes a while for everything to fill the screen up again, and you only need to do actual dodging for a total of about 5 seconds with a single bomb.

If it's an easy to reach safespot, it's babbymodo.

But there are some that require ability to pull off, like the one in "Danmaku Bounded Field" (when you stay in the center of the nightmare, near Yukari's head).

I think it's a totally valid strategy.

Guys, Yukari's stage is just that, an Extra stage. It's supposed to be fancier than it is hard. What's the point of safespotting BoLaD, you ask? Well, isn't it obvious? So you can stay there with one finger on the Z key and the other hand up high and gloat like a boss while all the bullets travel around you.

What, you haven't tried it yet? Well, you should.

That said, they are pretty lame when they exist. But again, it ain't your fault.

Hey, Yukari's safespot is the one of the few ones I don't find "lame". It's tricky-dicky to pull off and you're still "in danger", at least technically. The lame safespots are the blatant ones, like redirecting Youmu's noncards, that erase all danger and make you feel like a dumbass for pulling them off.

>> No.7408291

>>7408282
Eh? How are you in danger if it's a safespot? Rather, how is it a safespot if you're in danger?

In any case, Youmu's noncards are still somewhat tricky, and it's possible to mess even that up. Foolproof stuff is like Hibachi's opening barrage in DFK 1.0. What were they even thinking with that?

>> No.7408309

>>7408291
If a safespot always worked (like the thousands presents in IN), I would agree with you, but that one in particular can't guarantee your safety, you still can get hit and it's not easy to calculate the exact location of it.

I still die while attempting to use it, I would say I fail 2-3 from 10 intents.

The pattern in the OP just seems like one that's worth trying every time, since it takes so long to get to and is such a good challenge. Unless you really want that number to be 50m higher or whatever.

man why does it look so easy when someone else does it.. seems like the hardest part is when the bullets are forming, rather than dodging them.

slightly better run, but still dying too much in the last 3-4 cards and losing too much cherry.

You'll get it eventually. It's just a little bit of memorization. If you can unlock it, play the last word version in IN until you have a consistent and safe route through it.

Yeah, once you do the Last Word a few times it becomes super trivial to dodge its portion in PCB, even way before you can clear the full LW.

I could easily beat Yukari if I'd really want to.
