None. As I never read a original one yet, only adaptations called translations.

Fate/Stay Night
No, it wasn't my first, but I have very personal reasons for loving it.

I am just a sucker for certain extreme/far out there stuff, be them cheesy or not.
Sumaga for instance is also very high up on that list.

With that, F/SN did some elemets quite good, and it took it much further than most other works attempting similair elements.

>> No.7405574

The one that's overall my favorite even though I know it has flaws?
Sekien no Inganock or Sharin no Kuni.

The one that I've had the most fun reading recently?
Demonbane.

I guess Tsukihime.

I know its the shounen of VN's and all that, but it was the first real VN I read and I was hooked on it from start to end.
I guess I'm still hooked to it since I'm forever waiting for the remake that nasu will never finish.

It's pretty good. It isn't amazing, but it's really fun. I was pleasantly surprised by it, to be honest.

>> No.7405620

It's either Ever17 or Steins;Gate for me.

Ever17 was the first VN that I completed all routes on.
Steins;Gate was the first VN that I completed all routes on in Japanese.

E17 had a better ending, but Steins;Gate had way better pacing and characters.

I have high expectations for Ever17's rewrite in that department, though.

Like I said, it's a fun read. Not a masterpiece by any means, but still incredibly entertaining and there are a lot of likable characters and cool moments. I went in with low expectation and found myself really liking it even though it's a bit formulaic in the beginning. Once it actually gets rolling though it doesn't stop.

If you want to discuss it, you could pop over to /m/. They're on like their sixth or seventh general thread about it.

I didn't like it. i played it because I thought it'd be similar to chaos head or saya no uta since it was made by the same company but i found it awful

>> No.7405697

I have absolutely no idea why you'd think that considering it doesn't look or sound similar to either of those two at all.

I mean, I can understand not liking it, but even reading a brief description should have gave you an idea of exactly what you were in for.

They have Muv-Luv threads too.

Considering both Muv-Luv and Demonbane are /m/ based VNs, it's not too odd.
