This actually happened to me, but I tried really hard to obtain it. I was loyal to /jp/ since the birth of it, I was just a worthless NEET (wouldn't go as far as to say a hikki, but had my share of social anxiety). But then I started researching dating tips, fixed myself up to look good and just slowly tried to change myself to be a little more assertive. Eventually I had a job, a girlfriend who loves me and I even finally learned how to drive a car (at age 20). That's the gist of it anyway, I know it's nothing that amazing, and I don't care if you guys don't believe me, but for those who still have interest and hope in that kind of thing, don't give up.

How old are you? If you're anywhere around 20-25, it can still be fairly easy to find one. You may think there must be strings attached, but really, just talk to them and find out who they are. You never know.

I think you just want to hear yourself talk, since foremost, I'm not OP. And two, I never once encouraged you to follow other peoples standards. Yet, this "standard" actually is what many people want. An attractive, non-slutty reserved girl who loves you that is reasonably within your "age group." It's not like I was talking to someone who had no desire for it.

Why not? Be more open-minded. Either you don't care enough to keep your eyes peeled and put in the effort, or you do and you try. You're not gonna find one with that kind of attitude and shut yourself in all the time for sure.
