So which company makes the best figures?
Brand new to figures here and would like to get off to a decent start.

I've heard good things about Kotobukiya.

I consider Goodsmile Company, Max Factory, and Alter the best, the three usually being of about equal quality. Though typically on a lower tier than those three, I also buy figures by Kotobukiya.

However, I will still consider buying figures from other companies if I really like the character/sculpt.

Of course, the companies I've named focus primarily on cute anime girl figures.

I like Kotobukiya but they can be fairly hit or miss
GSC and Alter are by the far the best

In the realm of girl figures, Alter without a doubt, though that doesn't mean other manufacturers do not make nice figures
