hey /jp/ I have a serious question.
What is the best way to learn 日本語?
I can speak, read and write some. But alas it is not enough. how do/did you learn and do you have any tips for me?

Reported.

>> No.7343697

Well you'd want to stay as far away from the japanese language as possible to learn it.

For what? I'm asking a serious question here.
I've been studying it for 6/7 months but I don't feel it's been going that well. So my first instinct was to ask /jp/. thanks for that.

Now delete your thread please.

The same way you learn any language faster.

Go live in Japan. Good luck getting a visa.

Maybe you're reading it the wrong way? It is read right to left...

Not sure, I can only tell you how I learned it.
Did Heisigs Kana Book first, then RTK1.

Afterwards I did Core 1000+2000, which I'm very fast and currently doing Core 3000.
Most of the time was spent learning through Heisigs RTK1.

It's not as fast as he describes, but it's mostly because of my lack of motivation and ability to concentrate.

But I'm sure as always this will turn into a shitstorm between heisig/non-heisig fags.

Also forgot to say that /jp/ doesn't care about japan.
mfw over 100 replies and posts about religion or racism in japan.

Why people always get butthurt over japanese language threads? Isn't it pretty goddamn otaku culture related?

Here's a helpful image from some other thread I had saved.

Flanfly is Otaku Culture related too.

It would get normal replies, or at least fly under the radar, if people stopped making this thread each and every day.

It flew under the radar for months.

I'm not sure you know what you're talking about.

>> No.7343867

In case you haven't noticed OP, most of the people on /jp/ don't give two shits about the actual Japanese language. I could be wrong, but if you've been studying it for 6/7 months, you probably know more than most of the people here.

That being said, the best way to learn a language is to immerse yourself in it, no doubt. Go to Japan, or watch Japanese television/anime without subs. Learning vocabulary isn't going to be enough anyway, you'll want to learn how to pick up nuances in the way the language is spoken, etc.

Otherwise, take classes, or buy/pirate Rosetta Stone (depending on your intentions on learning the language).

And finally,
>>>/lang/
Like I said, this is the wrong place for this.

I also saw language threads a couple of times last week.

It would (...) fly under the radar, if people stopped making this thread each and every day.

>It flew under the radar for months.

Those statements are not mutually exclusive. Think about it for a moment. It's not hard.

>>7343869
That doesn't mean it is accepted here. A large majority of the time the threads are pointed at >>>/lang/ because that is the language board.

I'm just saying it's spam.
