I knew that feel.
READY TO SERVE.

>> No.7325127

Every time I do I swear to myself that I won't let the mess pile up as it did. Just a little each day, each week and I wont have to clean that much, just keep at it I tell myself.

...why is cleaning so hard.

Wow, guys, you suck. I never wash the dishes cause I know somebody else is gonna do it. But when I'm alone for, say, 15 days, I do all the cleaning. Otherwise it's unbearably disgusting.

>>7325127
It's not hard.
You just don't think it's necessary.
It's easy to get used to a mess, or even moderate stench, if you let it get that bad.
I only clean when it gets in the way of something I want to do(unless I decide it's too bothersome and give up on doing anything)

I'm a NEET with full on OCD. I like things neat and clean but sometimes I go through these phases where I just don't want to do anything and let shit pile up and not give a damn.

It's so stressful, cleaning all the time is not taking it easy.

I think you can improve your condition with a little bit of organization. Think about what you would consider "acceptably clean", create a cleaning schedule based on that and timebox the tasks at hand so you can actually carry out the scheduled you committed yourself to.

There's a line where your habits, manner, and appearance become ugly, foul, and repellent. This is a line normals expect you to stay behind with non-stop maintenance. You are expected to constantly brush, floss, and gargle, to change outfits, to bathe and shave, to groom and comb, to trim your nails, to wash and vacuum surfaces, to organize all stray objects saying nothing of garbage, etc etc.

This is a line you are welcome to heed, ignore, or even sneer at. There is, however, a second line where lifestyle passes from unhygienic to unsanitary. Hazardous to your nonexistent social life is one thing, hazardous to your health is another. Your mountains of trash start to count once they attract rats and insects. Your bad breath is inconsequential until your teeth start rotting out.

It's not that your floor shitting is "gross and disgusting" - normals will bitch about that even during something like male-to-male CPR. It's that you're going to attract disease.

If you're gonna spend a lot of time in your homes you it feels a lot better to have it clean... Why not just clean a little bit everyday?

>> No.7325441

>>7325433
Eh, it's been my experience that people that leave their houses messy do it as much because they don't mind the messiness as because they're too lazy to.

Disorder feels good for me. I don't like trash or anything being around, but stepping on clothes on the floor, sleeping in an unorganized pile of blankets, cool things I might have forgotten about lying around for me to become interested in again, it doesn't feel like home otherwise.

Used to be that way too, but I got sick of having to deal with dishes gone wild. Doing a bit everyday helps with the overall laziness and lack of motivation. You feel better when you do something productive, even if it's just something as little as taking out the trash.
