So what kind of place real Gensokyo is?

Is it happy, friendly and cute place where everyone spends time drinking tea and taking it easy? Is it ZUN-like place with cold-war tense atmosphere where everyone tries to secretly eliminate each other, Reimu is serial killer and tries to kill youkais, Marisa tries to profit on everyone, and Sakuya is just merciless assasin. Maybe something more unusual like Gensokyo looks like drug hallucination with Yukkuris, memes and 2D characters with "backgrounds" that look like these from flash animations or M@Ds or something inbetween?

Man, fuck this place. Those games don't show the real gensokyo. The fairy mafia runs everything, the prime minister doesn't do shit and fights break out every freakin' night just because some fairy stole another's yakitori which lights up the sky and nobody can sleep because of all the noise. The conbini I work at has been demolished eight times in the last year plus we've got fairy's just phasing into the aisles, grabbing shit and phasing out without paying. It's a fucking nightmare here man, don't come.
