My findings: I agreed to the Tripartite pact, and I haven't used the ninja. I'm on the Japanification route, I think, because I accepted Mikado's proposal and all of my icons have the Chrysanthemum cartouche.

As it turns out, if you reach Suez and link up with Germany before they start getting scripted defeats, it looks like Letia, Goebbels, and Manstein take counsel about how to deal with the Russian winter. I'll post more when I see where this leads.

Completely defeat Brittain, America or Russia
A pirate faction will spawn and randomly attack your territories
Defeat the pirate lady with Togo several times. IIRC, you will get 3 scripted events.
After getting her assed kicked she regains her memory. Turns out she was Togo's missing wife all along
Now, here's when it starts to get tricky.
You must agree not to fool around with other women again to get her ending. ( avoid heart events, but I think automatic events are ok )
She will not enforce this, but she will know if you fool around

Then there are more. Like there's a building you can build in China and you get a knockoff nurse ship. Good for Tanaka to use to soak up damage, but pure shit otherwise.

I think one could combine that with a fleet that uses air-defense, laser-defense and missile-defense....or Maki, but I haven't done that so far.

Not that I somehow think that people will be all that helpful, but I was thinking that we could at least help the wiki with what we know of the ships and the admirals etc.
I do believe it would save us (all of /jp/), a lot of trouble as it should reduce the number of questions.

Command points are usually raised through events, particularly H-scenes.

As for mixing weapons, it depends because most characters will have slots that give damage bonuses to certain types. Also, a lot of enemies have shields which will absorb damage from a particular type and some stars have effects which weaken or nullify certain types.
Of course because all the enemy defenses are static, it's really best to just swap out ships on a battle-to-battle basis to maximize efficiency.

What I usually do is if their HP is for example, 180, I have my lasers, if they arent immune to it, go up to at least 180 and try not to overkill. If another enemy in that battlegroup has a HP around like 180-200, without a massive damage weapon, I move on to missiles to finish that guy off. Etc.

Keep in mind the weather too. For example.

The FIRST TURN you attack America [/spoiler]is a surprise attack and it renders all THEIR lasers and airplanes ineffective, but your lasers+ works[/spoilers]

The weather in Rabaul, the one below Micronesia has a weather effect that makes lasers ineffective.

The one below Rabaul, Shikoku (or where the continent of Australia is supposed to be), has a chance of some effect making your women -50% less effective.

Core wasn't as bad as I thought they'll be if you're thinking they are the sengoku rance demons of this game. you can pretty much destroy all their shit with aircraft carriers though I guess that's true with most enemies in the game.

Protip: for people struggling a fleet of all aircraft carriers or a fleet with one admiral with all defensive ships and three other admirals with submarines will wreck most shit in the game including disasters and bosses.

The one big issue I have with this game is the fact after turn 5 or 6 (unless you accepted their demands), you're essentially on a permanent two-front war. It's pretty annoying collecting enough admirals to both attack one side, and defend the other.

Add in the fuck annoying out-of-nowhere events that force you to spend 4 turns moving your army back

(See: GAHAHAHA Mongolia, space disease/disasters, insurrection in Manilla 2000), etc..

If Hawaii was easier to capture (so you only had to place defenders at one planet instead of 2 to protect against Gamerica attacks), and the movement was expanded, I'd find the game more enjoyable.

On a side note, has anyone figured out that defensive building (軍事基地)? I can't quite figure out how it works from the text.

It sounds like you can position forces in that planet to defend other planets that are attacked, but I can never get it to work?

maki end - basically scarlet end except you tell her you'll still screw around with other woman. besides the clear bonus you also get to choose maki's voice as the system voice.

happy end - basically scarlet end except you promise her not to screw aroud with other woman but you still do anyway.

almost empress end - empress end except the overal public peace of your region is pretty bad. You definitely want this clear bonus since it decreases your shipbuilding cost by 20% and that owns.

You know, this game is starting to grow on me. Yeah, battles are do or die where you can't retreat so you have to save scum after seeing the enemy layout. How to recruit Lydia: It's been mentioned before but to repeat, you need to be in the triple alliance, do the sub chick's events, give resources to german and then when german gets conquered the sub chick will ask you to rescue hitler.

How to recruit Catherine: easy as pie, conquer the soviets and pardon her for her crimes.

How to recruit Sarah: There are the multiple ways to recruit but the one way you need to do it to satisfy the true end and end 2 is through some warp gate accident or some shit. I didn't even know there was something like so I dunno what the fuck.

How to recruit Douglas: I'm not sure but I know how you DON'T recruit Douglas - Letting CORE take over gamerica, or striking washington from behind with using spain. I think you need to prevent the core revolt and conquer canada.

Maybe I'm slow but they really spotlight the axis powers as the good guys and the other nations as basically bad/cruel/evil/shitty.

China's emperor is a prick. The Soviets are childishly evil. Gamerica creates an end the world nuke (CORE) and unleashes it. And Aeris is fulled with corrupt nobles and oppressed colonies.

Meanwhile Japan is led by a leader whose vision is good and pure though naive. And Hitler doesn't do anything ingame the equivalent to genociding the jews. She DOES have a super sketchy secret plan but she decides against using it at the last minute.

Retirement only just means that you can't build more ships of that type. You usually get units like that through defections, capturing optional objectives or building fisheries.

You should only put one or two admirals in a spot to pacify it (preferably Yamamoto, as he captures stuff twice as quickly). As it turns out, the process doesn't speed up if you have several there; it actually stops if you have too many.
