>gigantic earthworms

There are a lot of those, Microchaetus rappi gets to about 6,7 meters. Deep sea annelids are the best worms though, and of those, syllids are particularly interesting. Instead of bothering with mating directly (which in the related family Nereididae involves extreme modifications to allow effective swimming/mate search, and eventually the worm's body bursts to allow the release of gametes.) those grow a seperate mating body, termed a stolon or epitoke, within which sperm or eggs can be dumped. Those "worm funnels" are eventually sent swimming to the surface, where they meet in swarms and reproduce while the main body of the syllid remains safe. It goes without saying that unlike Qubeley or Nu Gundam, syllids don't come equipped with Psycommu, so stolons often feature eyes or chemical signalling systems that allow them to recognize other stolons of the opposing gender and mate independently of the main body. You could imagine it as your penis growing eyes (and a brain) and swimming away so that it can reproduce, while you remain in your home's comfort.

Syllis ramosa takes this system a step further by producing numerous lateral branches, each of those diverticula in turn capable of spawning their own reproductive buds to release - the worm has become a reverse hydra with one head and multiple tails. This syllid lives inside a glass sponge host, which might be the driving factor behind the network of branches it produces, for this allows it to spread into the fiberglass-like mesh of the hexactenellid skeleton (this also makes it difficult to remove it without damage, for the already fragile animal is rooted deep inside the sponge.) It should also be noted that while worms of subfamily Autolytinae consistently produce stolons of the same gender as the main worm, those of subfamily Syllinae, to which this branched syllid belongs, can switch stolon genders once in a while, producing both male and female mating bodies.

>> No.7287018

>>7287013
So you could think of it as being the pale glass sponge girl, halfway encased in the rigid, crystalline lattice of your spicules and consequently unable to move around well (smaller sponges are generally more flexible and fragile, but their skeleton later fuses together into a reinforced structure.) Eventually, a little syllid girl would settle in the numerous channels that compose your sponge half, and you'd get to act her parent or elder sister, teaching her the ways of sessile life (hexactenellids are the least mobile sponges, and that's saying quite a bit.) and ensuring that she develops as a well-educated, proper young lady. Of course, as you'd be the sole influence over her, she'd see you as a role model and later bud into an elegant little lesbian, her sisterly affection for you eventually changing into romantic feelings. Since no /jp/ user would refuse her "adopted" little sister, you'd then become a couple, with her taking a more active role in your relationship due to your obvious problems with mobility. As you'd be her admired elder sister, she'd constantly strive to act as a girlfriend befitting you, earnestly doing her best and using both her young woman and branched polychaete halves to better serve as your lover.

Since your protective armor would constrain your growth you'd still be a flat-chested little girl despite being much older than her, but by this time she'd have developed into a cute young maiden, rubbing her full breasts against your washboard chest and pushing her slender fingers in your maidenhood every night while her chaetae brush against the inner walls of your sponge half and the branches of her annelid side slide across your body, uniting herself with you in a manner human couples cannot hope to. And after she climaxes while repeatedly calling your name and confessing her love to you, she'd fall asleep in your arms, and you'd get to gently pat her head until you too fall asleep.

>> No.7287034

>>7287018
Breaking this pattern would be the times that her stolons break off, though she'd be so devoted to you that she'd instead of sending them to the surface to mate (I suppose a syllid monstergirl would be able to control her stolons, unlike the worms themselves) she'd use them to service you, her epitoke "tentacles" softly rubbing against your small body until they release their share of gametes. As you're not a syllid, you wouldn't be able to reproduce with her, but she'd nonetheless be overjoyed that you'd accept to connect with her in this manner, and you'd live like this for centuries in each other's constant embrace, her syllid body inseperably connected to you. Hexactenellid sponges are symbols of union until death, after all (though this is not because of syllids but wedding shrimps (family Spongicolidae) found in pairs in those sponges. The shrimp pair eventually grows too large to leave the sponge and live together until one of them dies, so glass sponges with a pair of those shrimps in them are considered good wedding gifts)

Anyhow, sorry for not-spiders in a spider thread. Here's a good video of a jumping spider mating ritual to compensate! The courter is male, and has no idea that the female isn't in any condition to respond (she was anesthetized, if I recall.)
