I've been using 5.50 Prometheus with the m33 driver. You must turn off all your plugins or the game will freeze, though.

I don't even have a PSP, but OP is a fucking gentleman and a scholar. Seriously, awesome job dude. Here's hoping you manage to get to the other idols as well.

>> No.7281411

You're still working solo, right? Out of curiosity, why aren't you putting anything up on the wiki? Have you tried contacting the people who did work on these games previously or anything?

Upload it to mediafire and I'll give it a try.

This, the moon isn't even that complicated. I could translate a few lines myself and save you some sweat.

WHOA WHAT THAT WAS UNEXPECTED.

Did you grab PS off TLWiki and finished the rest of the Haruka scripts solo or something? Or did you start from scratch?

I'm on my own, using the wiki's leftovers. But no one else needs to worry about distributing isos and patches or whatnot, and I don't want to register or deal with egos and stuff, so I'm fine with the current setup.

>> No.7281456

>>7281422
Mediafire doesn't take files larger than 200MB.
I don't mind reuploading it, but that's not ideal.
What other sites don't suck?

I can respect that move. Either way, thanks for your good work.

>> No.7281458

>>7281449
That's okay with me. Are you TL checking the scripts you inherited? A lot of the past translation was shaky at best.

>> No.7281463

Downloading now. Haven't run a homebrew on my PSP in a while. I'll try to report in later with results.

Thanks, by the way.

There's some stuff that doesn't sound great, but it's mostly understandable, so I haven't spent a lot of time on it. I'll get to eventually, but it should be less of an issue for Makoto and Yayoi since there's just... less of it finished.

>> No.7281502

>>7281449

Mm. Well, if you manage to get through Perfect Sun and have any interest in the other two games, maybe you could get tools for Missing Moon and Wandering Star from them, or something. Anyway, I'm just glad you're doing this at all.

>> No.7281520

>>7281502
I'm under the impression he's already using the tools posted on TLWiki, since there's no tools available elsewhere the last time I checked.

By the way, how are you dealing with making the text fit inside the dialog boxes? AoRF had a preview script thing running, doing it without that must be a bitch.

Many many thanks for taking over, though, I had lost hope.

>> No.7281538

>>7281520
Yes, but there was a never a release for the expanded Missng Moon or Wandering star isos, so I can't do anything with those.
I've been trying to keep all the script lines under 60 characters, but I have absolutely not tested whether that works or not. That's something to do when I get to >>7281483 since I've certainly noticed it in some of the older scripts.

>> No.7281571

thanks op..
never thought ill see progress in the idolmaster translation.

>> No.7281614

>>7281538
Oh, right, I see. You could try emailing him and ask for an expanded version of the other two ISOs.

You could possibly also ask if there's a way to use his script previewer with local files (it pulls translations from TLWiki only, I believe, I can't check because his site is down right now), it would probably make your life a lot easier if you want to see how the text would show up in the game.

Hey, OP. How much are you planning to translate? Like the other girls and so on. And the interface stuff, or is that even possible with what you have? Interface translation would be great since I have no idea what I'm doing.

Thanks for reminding me to check the ISO settings. My PSP was on Sony by default and it was fucking up. Worked perfectly after I switched it to M33 driver though.

>> No.7286405

It seems OP didn't insert the translated lines from the binary nor the translated interface pictures. I grabbed those from TLWiki, inserted them and I have a (mostly) translated interface now.

It would be nice if we could figure out what's left translating in the interface and work out the kinks of the stuff that was already translated.

Menus work fine for me.

You need to grab all the translated images and inject them. Then grab lines from the Lines and Lines-raw pages and put them into a whatever.lines.txt file.

If you only do one, without the other, it comes out messed up, I believe.

In particular, if you don't insert the "Names/Portraits" section, Kotori's portrait doesn't show up when she's talking, for example.

I am currently trying to work out the issue with special characters in the injected lines. imas-patcher seems to be translating special characters that shouldn't be translated.

Which is odd, because the inject-lines.pl script seems to be handling those special cases. But since we're using the patcher rather than that command line tools, we get this silly behavior.

Holy shit, someone is still translating it?

I can't do much but all I can say is good work and I hope you keep it up.

I eagerly wait for you to finish this, I've wanted to try an idolmaster game at least once and when the translation project died (at 50% as well) I was a bit disappointed.

Figured it out!

The 57849.mif.png file on the wiki has the wrong filename. It should be 57848.mif.

Regardless, we shouldn't really blindly apply stuff from lines and raw lines. Some text doesn't look nice at all and needs to be reviewed, plus stuff like %s and \n isn't working right (patcher program needs to be fixed and then there's the issue of text too long to fit in places. I applied the song descriptions and the song select screen now crashes my PSP on the third song (I'm guessing the translation is too long).
