So, I finally managed to put enough interest into G-senjou to get past the first few chapters, and the story actually started to pull me along. By the time Mizuha arc ended, I was having some rather great expectations for the conclusion arcs. The story had been building up pretty tactfully this far, not to mention the cute airhead image Usami had been developing. So, chapter 5 rolls around and...

What the fuck? I mean, not only the plot jumped the shark with the most predictable, over-used, unimaginative, lame cop-out choice possible, but also the expected sweet-and-innocent-first-time scene turned into GIMMIE THE CHOCOLATE HISAO VAGINAL BLOOD EVERYWHERE C-C-C-CUM BUCKETS?

... so, yeah, I suppose I'm a stupid manchild for crying about the faults in the writing of my spank material, but still, gosh. This could have been something good. And then... I don't know anymore, man, I just don't know.

Anyway OP, you aren't the only one who dislikes Looseboy's H scenes. The mere length puts me off personally, and the content isn't much different from the general H scene that you've seen a million times with a different girl, only a bit more "dirty" I suppose, though it doesn't really work and mostly makes the characters look out of character. The writing just prolongs your pain.

You aren't the first one to dislike the plot twist either, but I suggest you keep on reading, as G-Senjou is mostly appreciated for its very last parts. I think you still haven't reached the climax.

I personally thought chapter 4 was the best part of the game, closely followed by the end of chapter 5 (before the epilogue). The epilogue is overrated.

But yes, Looseboy's writing takes a huge dive at the start of chapter 5 until the middle of chapter 5.

I loved G-Senjou, then the "Big reveal" happened... I've never seen a game from so good to so lame in record time. I literally lost interest and haven't revisited it since.

Up to that point it was pretty godly though.

late to the party aswell, the only major disappointment thus far was that all the other girls were pretty much dead weight and contributed nearly nothing to the story and remained uninteresting even in their own routes

It's a shame how the best part of the game quickly went to utter shit. Kyousuke goes badass and starts to believe he's Maou and snipes Gonzou, then tries to kill Haru with emotional flashbacks along the way. Then HERP DERP THEY ARE DIFFERENT PEOPEL LOL

It could have been a really great VN if not for that bullshit.
