The updates have been boring because CS hasn't been promoting them. No, really. Scaregant came out with it's own mini-ads, shop screen, and it's own exclusive garapon in JP. Ditto for the aura-bots: Suzeku, Genbura, Byakko, and Seiron and, IIRC, for Vanguard Fencer. Here, they're just getting plopped in as filler gold ball bots. I'm guessing CS is not paying as much attention to CB EN as they should; a risky business decision, as the affection of their player base is already shaky because of how crushingly expensive the game is.

I stick by my original assessment of 30 USD being enough to get you solid bots that you can compete with. Right now shop bots range from around 2.50 to 8 dollars. Gara is better and more expensive.

The main issue is you will not want to have to stick with your shop bots. New shinies will make you salivate and if you don't have the money you will get mad at the game like everyone else.

The problem you will face is no matter what you buy there is a garapon version that's better. This includes all weapons and bots.

The only exceptions to these are Destructor girl, Seraph Crimrose (the only good free bot in the entire game), Baltheon (the garapon version of him is SHIT), Stardust Cannon, and the Haku Sword (until the Ripper's Scythe gets introduced).

You can do ok with shop bots, buy a Hatigarm, Destructor girl, and if you like being a big fatass with a huge fucking shield a Baltheon and ignore garapon entirely. Grind a crimrose to seraph crimrose and grind bosses for a stardust cannon for your Baltheon.

You'll get sick and tired of people in their garapon bots with mismatched parts killing you in .08 seconds but such is life in Cosmic Break.

Now that I think about it, Cosmic Break is similar to Touhou in some aspects:

-Both Gensokyo and Cosmic Ark are like "fantastical" places isolated from other worlds/dimensions.
-There are several females and few males. (Rinnosuke = Jikun Hu)
-Lolis firing bullets, lasers and flying around. (Not necessarily lolis on CB though since most girls have large breasts)
-Youkai like Kogasa or Medicine could be related somehow to the view of the Fan girls such as D-Girl and such. I mean, objects becoming Youkai and Girls trying to imitate the robot they love somehow, thus "becoming" robots.
-Fairies = Arcantus bots.
-The main character of both series is featured with the red color. (Well, that happens a lot actually)
-The fandom of both series affect them considerably in one way or another.

CC is actually more interesting and fun to play with than CB (I'm not even gonna mention C21) in my opinion... too bad it had so little features unlocked for testing previously. Supposedly you can mix and match parts in CC too, so in some sense it's like playing CB without you having to deal with bad teammates.

Why, upgrades of course! If they had thought it through better they'd give out 3s robots and make their cash on slot protectors.

But they want fast cash up front from a dozen people willing to pay hundreds and sometimes thousands of dollars for garapon robots than satisfy a larger fanbase with a game that everyone enjoys playing where the money doesn't come as fast but the game survives due to longevity.

It's a common complaint going back to the beginning of paid service. Ahh well.

After the chibi battle I don't know if I'll be half-assed to play anymore. Once Tera's out I don't think I'll bother even for login rewards.

1: You're never getting a trading system. Ever. Every little itty bitty change you've gotten so far has come by way of Tempura personally sucking his boss off. There's nothing you can do.

2: You're not even likely to get Bazaar due the swapup of what's rt and what's uc from the Japanese version. They've only been repriced, not reclassed. It would be a giant pain for them to fix this, not to mention it would stress their shitty servers even more.

3: The only thing you can count on is uc-rt once they get desperate enough. And I don't see this happening with the occasional faggot who drops over a thousand bucks into the game.

4: The community is only going to get worse. Contrary to popular belief, CB is advertising. Heavily. It's just being advertised on sites where less-than-desirable people congregate.

5: Loyalty is dead. Hotglue is dead. MoD is dead. The total 4chan presence in this game is less than 40 people.

6: Once c21 and CC launch, you'll be seeing less and less of tempura to make the shitty game less miserable.

7: Make sure to look forward to future Garapons, there's still about 5 more fagbuilds that haven't come to the US yet. Also, none of them involve UC parts. Enjoy running nothing but accelsabers and seraphs against people who have dumped more money than you into the game!

Well, besides the Haku sword which you can get for free by grinding Haku how about the metal slayer? I used one on my laz until I got my Haku sword. Useable by any land. It's ok.

Other than that the warhammer can do as much damage as a vanguard fencer but it's a lot slower attack rate makes it tough to use.

You're not "royally" fucked, there are two non-cash bots that can keep up with cash bots, but you will always be outranked if someone of equal ability has spent more money than you.

There's no trading, gifting, auctions, or anything of that sort. This game is more akin to shitty facebook games where you build up your account alone by sinking hours and cash into it.

There's also no dual pricing, ingame currency-cash conversion, or any reliable ways of gaining cash currency beyond spending money or installing a ton of spyware.

All it needs is enough new players to replace those who have grown disgusted with the game. And then it only needs one of those new players to roll garapon like etherlight, or sliferx did before he quit.

You guys keep thinking that CS needs to keep players, or even please them.

In reality, they just need to rob gullible players before they realize the game will never be any better and advertise enough to keep new suckers coming in.

They're doing a great job and making money hand-over-fist. Granted as the game ages, the amount of new suckers will decrease and they won't have any old players who will keep playing because they're invested in the game despite there being newer games, but to be honest I don't think CS ever saw CBus as anything more than a five year investment.

Face it, CS won. They played you good. Hell, they're geniuses. CS opened their US office with only a hundred grand. CB has probably returned about half of that already, and CB is only one of the four games they run off that skeleton budget.

Oh, and Frazia gets Stun Regain against Nimbus' Raising Wonder. Stun Regain is a good cartridge, so do consider that. They also both get Broad Radar, Stealth System and Moving Burst though, so you may have difficulty fitting in every cartridge you want.

anything melee now is extreme suicide mode due to how most melee bots have to compete with VFs and oukas. lancelots and domiclows do half good jobs with suicide runs into healpits, but you gotta know how to move and how to go unseen to the enemy back line.

your lazchan should have crappy sucess with a haku sword, and even then, you will have issues with tuning. get WLK first, only then worry with damage. without boost run you will always fail tackling at some point, and lazchan cant hop to survive.

get a scout rifle and have fun with koko gaap. if you can use raid rifle even better. tune for FLY since koko favors that, but dont get 0 WLK. if you get to 30+ FLY and is happy with that speed, get TEC.

remember to keep TEC and STR balanced or you could as well dump the SUP core and use a ace braver/zero saber core to gun and run. zero step is a good panic move to get away of melee range. and ace braver's core MG is surprisingly good without upgrades.

You're going to have a HELL of a time with anything but the club weapon with a chibi because of your trip. I equipped mine with a haku sword and lost in the chibi fights because I kept tripping all over my damn self. It's tough to slash 3 times without stupidly clicking that 4th time that causes you to trip.

I don't know what other melee weapon causes you to attack only once but I know the club is one.

Alright, this is something that is driving me crazy.

I have the chance to tune my fencer sword to 54 force, but the speed will be dropped by a lot.

Is the speed of the weapon taken into account when using the fencer's buff, or is the speed during the buff something that remains constant?

I'm thinking the speed stat of the sword is only for when you are not buffed.

Most of the people that complain about this game seem to be pretty bad at it. I know that most of the original autist of hotglue do amazing no matter what they're playing. I play a game with some of them and have no idea how they rack up so much damage and score.

CB can be really fun though, but if you can't keep up or keeping getting owned you'll get discouraged fast. A new player that puts $100+ into it right away will still lose to skilled players, just not as bad as one that didn't put any money into it. They will rape other new players that didn't put any money into it though.

Take a player like boytitan, a bad player who used to only play 1 type of bot and do horribly with it. Now he spent money and spams fencers, dogs, whatever, and occasionally end up in the top 10 against a bad team. But put him against people who know what they're doing and he ends up with negative score 4 out of 5 times.

Or nodochii, a player who spent money in the beginning and played suicidally and always ended up with a shit load of cost. Then he started copying other peoples builds and combined it with all that RT, now he ranks top in most games. But compared to the top players he's still bad. Take away the broken bots and you have an average to bad player.

You can compete in arena with $30-$50 of rt; unless you want to build a specific bot or want to try your luck with the garapon.

Agreed, if there is anything you can do to speed up the voice patch you would be happy to help as would many ppl to shorten the ungodly wait of 3 days. They seem to be priced in the right range (~$160 for a 12.000-13.000 jpy item) and the sellers have good rating.

Quit being so butthurt. Vyolets asked me to play sub for his team since he can't find anyone else, and Kanbara told me that he already has his team and shit setup. I didn't find out my teammates were full out autists until the last minute.

I only have 25 hours total logged onto en CB from OBT3 to now, and none of my bots are tuned, RTfagged, or remotely leveled for the matter. If anything, I'd be a liability considering the bots I'll be fielding are lvl 2, 4, and 5 because I can't be arsed to play this shitty game.

Also, the only thing I wanted to see was Hotglue domineering the real tournament, which was already accomplished by stomping ETF while I watched proudly. I don't really give a shit about en cb anymore after that, baddies will stay bad, and the real shit that mattered (OBT1-2) before RT fucked the game is already immortalized before.

Newsflash, hotglue has hundreds of dollars sunk into this game too. Check out all their vanguards, eves, and pattys for confirmation. I don't know of a single top 10 player that hasn't spent a lot of cash on this game or gotten damn lucky with RO cubes. The top 5 spots each round are reserved for the cash whores and you know it. Sometimes someone with UC only parts, weapons, and upgrades will get fucking lucky but it's rare.

You're welcome to show otherwise and I'll admit I'm wrong. Show me a player that consistently ranks top 5 each match that uses ONLY UC bots, parts, weapons, and upgrades.

Get a cyberoid, put some Lnd parts (like Red Squealer legs or arms for example), tune for wlk and tgh and put whatever weapon you feel like using for that moment. Don't forget boost run.

You will have a decent to good support bot with decent survival rate and being able to be actually credit to team without spending a single rt

I don't bother with this account much anymore, I can play Katagewa's account pretty much all the time due to different time zones. Its much more fun/easier to use his but I can still do well on my own one if needed.

Also watch jpcb crown battles, you see loads of them still using UC stuff like ballistic missile with victory/destructor core, pure UC anti air that does well. Also lots of seraph plasma build users that wreak all the expensive LND, and if the are good even the ART.
I was also surprised to see a crown using red squealer AMs, though he had a byne core with saggitray LGs so it wasn't pure UC.

Thing is, on there you got UC to RT so getting byne core or saggi lg really isn't hard, and can be considered a UC item, same way we buy UC version of shino on are server.

You can say my scores are bullshit or luck, but whatever.

Not on JPCB, 2s Ballistic Launchers go for 90-100k while 3s ones are around 1mil, if you grind and use your level-up UC bonuses or just sell your tune up crap in a bazaar you can get one pretty fast, especially since tune up items sell very well there.

There's also two very good Garapons over there, three if you count the weekly. Instead of 2s Stardust Cannons and Rocket Launchers, you're handed the lightning gun Tesladonna, blade AM Izuna, guitar Maril March, shield AM Lazflamme and the like from bronze balls, and it only gets better from there. You can use the 50Rt monthly UC to Rt charge and rank-up Rt bonuses to roll Garapon enough to complete your builds even if they require Garapon-only parts, not to mention the UC Garapon rains the 3s version of one of the best AMs in the game. I have some 60 3s Accelsaber AMs and 100+ that I broke during tune up attempts, and I don't even have that much time put up to the game.
