The translator went on a hiatus.

Looking for a new one!

There's already roughly 1/5th done.

>> No.7181020

A few days (?) ago, someone searched something to translate. Don't remember how t ended. I guess you are too late.

>> No.7181029

Though luck for me.

I can hope though :P

God I hope you can turn your daughter into a demon in this one as well.

Cube is a dog in this one, isn't he?

How experienced was the previous translator?
I've only been studying Japanese for two years, so I'm worried if I try, people will come down on me.

It's princess maker, not *whatever wordy VN flavor of the month is popular right now*. Provided it was a decent two years and if you're doing it as part of some program where you aren't a C student you should be fine to handle this.

>> No.7182355

I'd really love to see this translated. PM2 was fun

>> No.7182462

I'm guessing any help will be appreciated.

Progress is progress.

It would be amazing if Aroduc or someone would take it on.
But I doubt it would it happen.
He has his own projects in progess, and I am not even sure what he thinks of the franchise. In fact, pretty much no known translater seems to have either time nor care.

But one can still hope right? Right?

Unless I'm misreading the script counts, it's over 80,000 lines long. That's easily two or three times longer than most VNs. Furthermore, if 20% of it is already translated, that's 16,000 lines to go through and learn the style, presentation, and maybe even correct the previous problems. Getting someone to commit given both of those things AND someone who's interested in the game AND a decent translator seems impossible.

>> No.7184275

It's not.

Most of the files are small.
And even if the style differs? Who cares?

>> No.7184520

>>7182900
You were misinterpreting the scripts.
I don't remember exactly how to put it. But the line counts doesn't say all that much. The lines don't have that much text in them on average, and some even only have phrases.
Filesize, is also no good indicator due to all the code present in each file. It isn't that uncommon with files with more code than text in them.

Never have I wished more I could read Japanese.

Besides, that's why you have an editor to go through and make sure it sounds congruent.

If this game would have had H-Scenesit would have been translated years ago.

That's why princess maker 2 was translated.

You can change your daughter's bust and remove her dress in the debug panel :P

Risk of dropping out of college I believe.
/jp/ consists for most part after all, by college drop outs, and a few who haven't done so, yet.
But let's support those who might still manage!

I've done a little bit. Check eb020.txt on the wiki as I just added the translation for it earlier.

If it's a bit hackish I apologize as I usually do tech related translations at work. I
