I've been eating rice every day since I was born. But then again, I'm a chink so it makes sense I guess. It's nothing special though.

>> No.7168625

if you are a westerner you will never be able to handle eating rice every day.

Only asiafags like myself (chinafag here) can eat rice EVERY day and stay healthy and content.

Go back to eating potatoes and beef westerner faggot.

I don't know much about asians, but my mother buys long grain white rice. I'm Puerto Rican, so I eat that pretty much ever day with a side of chicken or sea food.

I used to be pretty pissed about eating rice and shit every single day like a poor piece of shit. Not long ago I ate some soup made by my stepmom (she's Thai or something; I don't live with her or my father, so I'm not sure). It was the most disgusting, rancid bowl of shit I have ever eaten in my entire life. I didn't want to be a jerk, so I ate it all like a man, so I would not offend her. I only visit once a year anyways. I found it funny she ate soup with chopsticks though, I just used the superior and mighty fork.

Now I am glad I am used to living like a poorfag on rice and value priced meats. Lot's of spare money for more important things.

Japanese short grain sticky rice is possibly my favorite food.
Made onigiri one day when I felt particularly weeaboo, and loved it ever since.
I dunno why, but I could just eat plain white rice all day every day.
You don't really need a rice cooker to cook it, though it's convenient.

Man, why isn't /jp/ being helpful?

Buy a Zojirushi rice cooker. That's the good shit. Expensive, but you pay for what you get, the best damn rice cookers out there.

I have a 3 cup model because I usually just cook for myself.

This is how you cook rice. Make sure to use a big spoon and move the bottom to the top after a few minutes though, or you'll get burned rice on the bottom that will be a nightmare to wash off.

Man, I hope you aren't doing this so you can feel more Asian or some similarly asinine shit. Also, I'm a gook, and even I'm tired of rice. Make sure you can handle it.

As said before, Zojirushi is a pretty good brand. There are some great Korean ones too, maybe Chinese as well. Not that it means anything... Seriously now, how is the country of origin going to change the functionality of a rice cooker? Good heavens.

>> No.7168821

The only real differences between rice cookers are features and heat distribution, at most you'll pay more so your rice cooks more evenly without you have to stir it not much else to say really as even the cheap ones have basic features like autocook and alarms.

>> No.7168829

All rice cooker works the same, be it the one from China, Japan, Thailand, and any other rice eating Asian country. It's just a matter of how much rice you want to be able to cook all at once.

The thing that matters is the type of rice you're going to make. Different kinds of rice has different cooking methods.
