They take even possible chance they get to whine about DEEN's adaptations when if not for their anime the fucking When They Cry series would have never been translated in the first place. Fuck they managed to make it popular in the west.

I agree with that in principle. I absolutely hate people who use an obscure reference like "oh, Miku has a manga so vocaloid is /a/!" and use that as a grounds to imagedump nonstop and talk about songs but they'll never talk about that manga on the board that's supposed to be about manga discussion.

But I digress. I just hate that. In a perfect 4chan, Touhou game discussion would be carried out and tolerated on /v/ and such-and-such vocaloid manga would be talked about on /a/.

Like it or not, /jp/ does cover VN discussion. And as long as they're discussing the VN and not just dumping images or RPing or any other disruptive and cancerous behavior then they're fine.

Have you ever bee watching an anime based off of a manga and they were standing around talking for too fucking long when they should have been doing something important?

That scene was stupid in the manga, and it was stupid in the anime. And yet it's not until you see it in anime form that you realize how silly the whole thing is. Sometimes things aren't as offensive when you in one medium, but seem completely ridiculous in another. You can see things in a whole new light in a different medium.

So I decided to check out the Umineko anime to see what all the fuss was about. I read the VN and thought it was mediocre, I just wanted to see this supposedly rage worthy adaptation. Instead of finding a butchered VN, I found a much more important realization:

Umineko is complete trash. All of it. It wasn't as offensive when I was reading the VN, but when you see it animated you realize how nonsensical and shitty the whole thing is. This whole ordeal has left a bad taste in my mouth, I don't know how to explain it.

Anyone have any thoughts?
