Probably 90€ on a figure. I won't justify horrible prices just to get what I want. As much as I'd love to have a Horo statue, I pay $250 for something that cost $80 on release.

OP here, looking at the Kara no Kyoukai BD Box Set. I had originally gone to Amazon to root around and see if I could find the DVD's, but there's almost no such thing through normal channels.

Then one day I see they have an entire boxset of all the movies, in BD, with an art book.

It's not actually that bad of a price, considering I make almost $700 a paycheck...but it's still hella expensive,.

the dvds were never released with english or outside of japan (r2)
the bluray box set was released in english with subs overseas as well as a no-sub version in japan which obviously has the book and other materials in japanese. the english box set has its book in english.
they also didn't make too many of the english set

I noticed. Well it's too late now I guess. The $450 deal on Ebay just ended and I was too busy frilling around about upscaling to actually commit.

Shame. KnK is one of the few series I really want to own physical copies of. I guess I'll just go buy some posters or something.

I put down somewhere in the neighborhood of $600 after tax and transfer fees to buy the gun that Canaan uses in the animu series.

It was kinda hard to track down, it's a Beretta PX4 with an OD green frame. Apparently they are much easier to find now, but I had a bitch of a time talking to multiple distributors and Beretta customer service themselves to finally track one down.

Pic related, it was my face when I realized it really isn't that awesome of a gun.

buy the storyboard books
they're pretty nice. size-wise they are fairly small (6x8"?) but pagewise they are gigantic. especially 7. 7 has like 600 pages or some shit. it's three of the other books put together. they're also fairly cheap at 1300~ yen or so each. the one bad thing is that since they are more or less the design sheets scanned in the actual drawings are small as they are more thumbnails than anything with a bunch of notes on the side. good if you like that kind of thing.

also if that thread is the one that i'm thinking about i'm that guy who bought the books from there, haha. i ended up getting 6 books (everything but #6) for $57

Aesthetically speaking, it's a good looking gun. I can't deny that at all. Also, I haven't really "worn it in" and many guns feel just a bit too tight around the edges before you drop a few hundred rounds through them.
It's not so bad I wish I hadn't bought it or anything, there are just much better guns out there. I suppose when I didn't become a sexy brown girl with DFC and operate like a motherfucker, I felt just a tad let down.
