TO INSTALL:
-Install MGs Koihime Musou
-Replace SoundPackSEVo and SoundPackSEVo.lst in Baseson\koihime with jp versions
-Copy .snx files from "Latest Revision" link above to Baseson\koihime

Currently there are no known issues with this patch concerning the VN phase of Koihime. All crashes and skips, to our knowledge, have been resolved and every single voice has been added back in correctly as well as some lines and their respective voices that were excluded from the MG version entirely.

That said,
TO DO:
-check on the possibility of restoring voices to the battle phases of koihime
-check on the possibility of restoring the "replay voice" button to koihimes interface

You can't change voice volume separately. This is limitation of english game engine. We had to use SFX audio playback code to play voice instead of dedicated voice playback as in JP version. There is just no support for voice playback in EN exe. So you can have this... or nothing.

Hmm, I'm not sure if I've encountered a missing voice call, or if it's simply a really long paragraph split into two boxes (and thus only has a single voice file). See pic - Shuri's first two lines are voiced, but the last one pictured isn't. The voice for the second one is very long, though, so I'm uncertain.

Apologies, but I downloaded the four-parter where it just contained a directory with the already-installed game.

So, should I extract the .snx files into that main directory? Even though they're not replacing anything? I'm not sure what a difference they'll make so I can't be sure they're working.

The yellow turban rebellion was completely overlooked in the VN, it only served as an introduction.

But in the anime, the rebellion doesn't happen until season 2, and even then they're actually just fans of some idols who got brain washed by some evil magical book (this book serves as a plot driving force in season 2 and 3).

Meanwhile the archer woman (can't remember her name) appears in season 1, and instead of being the leader of a city, her daughter is kidnapped and she is blackmailed into attempting to assassinating one of the main cast.

Basically, completely different in pretty much every sense except for the characters.

Game will not load any additional lst archives (unlike JP version). Even when init script is modified to add archive load command, first loaded archive can't be overriden, so game will load original scripts first.

I'm having a major problem! Towards the end when you have to think of a girl, my game freezes after I pick anything. I have updated the patch, restarted a New Game and it still freezes up at this point.

From what I can tell, it's not the patch at fault, as when I remove all the patch files this still occurs. Does anyone know what's going on here?

Oh god, did poor Kazuto always look so shit? He looks like a homeless. On top of that most of his body is missing.

The voice patch works wonderfully so far. Sometimes the voices lag behind 1 or 2 lines and there was once a duplicated line, but nothing serious.

mine crashes near the end too, but its the game not the patch, cause it happens without voices, with old and new patch.

it happens to me when I finish routes, one time I skipped all the home bases and no crash, got Aishas ed. and was able to unlock the extras. now I finish a route and close the program in order to get all the cgs.

My save file that's most current crashes every time I right click or scroll up.

Specifically it's right before I enter the 5th base phase when you meet the guys from the alternate histories. The game works fine when I replace back the original .snx files back.

that was was me last night.

I said that cause I finished the game skipping home bases and finished without problems, but it came back after doing home bases.

also, I was the only one, so I assumed it was me, now I know theres an actual problem with the game, I also tested the old patch and crashed as well.

heres my save file for new patch if someone needs it, has unlocked options for finishing the game and half cgs of sec characters.

now you can skip battles, which is important after raging for crashes.

back to the crash...

I just did hawawa loli ed finishing her route only, no crash at all :)

so my recommendations if you happen to suffer the crash is-

1- finish the game not doing home bases (or use save file), youll get Aishas ED and youll be able to skip battles.

2- finish the main home base routes alone (I did it one by one), so you get each ed and their cgs.

3- do each secondary route (focus on one or two), when you finish save and close window before it crash, that way youll save their cgs (alt
+ f4 will pop exit game menu).

4- remember to save often (like in every home base) if a secondary route didnt finish and the crash presents (like in Chouun route), load and do not use the menu buttons, right click or scroll, you can use left click and keyboard (ctrl to skip).
when you finish the route, close window in order to save the cgs.

note- I havent done, (nor read) nanodas ed nor half secondary characters, but I feel will be the same as the others.

I found a crash, but it's a bit odd. Somehow Chouun's "you stole my Menma" scene is causing a crash after the home base phase is over. Everything looks fine during and after the scene, but after you end the home base phase, anything other than advancing the text causes the game to crash. (Right clicking, clicking a button, attempting to save, etc cause a crash) Maybe it's corrupting the save file? Even when the voice patch was removed, a save made after Chouun's scene but before the end of the home base phase would continue to have the problem.

The game has that ingame diagram saying "the next offensive or defensive tactic up from the enemy's tactic has the advantage, BUT THAT'S NOT TRUE.
And the rock/paper/scissors thing does not make sense.

Look, let's make an example. Bunshuu keeps rotating between tactic 4 (light/archers) and 2 (heavy/archers).
So her defence troops are the ones I should target if I am on the offense, meaning if I do an intercept attack than it will be useless at all times. Correct?
So, when against tactic 4 I should pick an attack that isn't soaked up by archers but can defend against charge. IN OTHER WORDS, (light/heavy).
By that logic, while she uses tactic 2 I should use (light/archers)?
But this still doesn't work.

Doing Chouun's Home Base thing the first Home Base after you get her causes the game to crash.

Well, its something I seen before. It's like the other one that happened during the Chouun + Shion vs Katoukon and Kii battle. As in you can't right click, go into history, quicksave, etc.

Don't have the newest patch (still using 1.2a) I'm first gonna see if it works if I remove the patch from the game and stuff.

Answers the same for both of you. You're using old saves. The data the saves reference has shifted with each revision of the patch. While it may not be immediately apparently, that shift can cause crashes chapters, or even games later.

Again:
IF YOU ATTEMPT TO USE THE VOICE PATCH WITHOUT CLEARING YOUR SAVE DATA (and by clearing I mean deleting everything in the save folder) YOU WILL LIKELY EXPERIENCE CRASHING AT SOME POINT.

Sounds like the same issue a couple of other anons have mentioned. Before you applied the latest voice patch, did you have any other game saves? (Even if you didn't actually load them.) Some other anon said that after applying the newest voice patch you might have to completely clear your save folder to avoid problems, but I personally didn't start until 2.0 r1 was released so I can't really say myself.

I'm not sure exactly what your problem is, but it doesn't appear to have anything to do with the voice patch. I've checked the file for that scene as well as played up to it just now, and it works flawlessly.

However, your save file does cause the crash you describe.

Do you think they have the money and resources to spend threatening a few poor downloaders? Even if they would, it would be a drain on their very limited time and money, which they could instead use for marketing or bringing more games over. The best I can imagine is them setting angry letters to file sharing hosts, or a more likely situation being butthurt third-party buyers sending the letters for them, with MG having little to no involvement here. I'd be more willing to think we have some angry "buyfags" here who keep reporting every link than to think MG wastes their time day and night reporting links.

A couple questions here

First, do I have to put the 2.0rc1 ver over the 1.2 ver? Are there other previous version that came after 1.2 that I have to install as well?

I erased all save files previous to starting the process to install the patch, but after I changed the SoundPackSEVo and SoundPackSEVo.lst files for the japanese ones my save folder had a file called SAVE._LCS, but it's not a save file, I've already checked and I have nothing saved in the game. Should I erase that file or is it harmless, or even necessary?

So far I've only performed events each turrn (since they become available) with Shuri, Sei, Sui and kouchuu.

Performing Chouun's 9th homebase event is whats responsible for the error with the savefile.

Avoid triggering her in homebase for 2 turns and it should be fine after that.
