Hey /jp/, in this thread we post OST from VNs that are nice to take it easy. Many tracks from Cross Channel are good to relax but I think this one is the best.

Cross Channel is horrible and I'm not going to contribute to this thread.
Just thought I'd tell you.

I fucking love Funczion Sounds. Yume Miru Kusuri had a pretty laidback score, too.

I liked the majority of Cross Channel's tracks because they had a dreamy ambience that fit the VN well.

Anything from True Remembrance is great for taking it easy.

Hmm...

Now that you touched Saya I must say that Sabbath is certainly a very relaxing song.

Oh nice a chance to ask can ask this question about Cross channel.

I can never play Cross Channel in full screen, and when I force it it looks like pic. How do I full screen it properly?

This thread is not about Cross Channel, but I advice you to check out Amaterasu's forums and read the readme files.

The music from Cross Channel was something else for me. I don't mean quality-wise - even if it was also great in this aspect - but there was something very mysterious in them. It brought in me a feeling of nostalgia, but it's not because I knew Cross Channel at the time or something. I mean, whenever I'm listening to some tracks like School days or Daylight, I just start reminiscing back to when I was in high school, skipping classes on the roof with some friends and just watching the sun and the clouds, and I my heart starts to feel so heavy that I feel like crying.
I know it may sound stupid, but the OST of Cross Channel in general sounds like it was composed just to remind me of those days, silly as it might sound.
I can understand why people here at /jp/ hate it, but for me it was a fantastic, beautiful story which really made my feelings overflow.

Yeah, Cross Channel is the VN which "silly useless moments at school" I like the most. The whole atmosphere it creates is fantastic, I was able to calm down whenever there was a scene like that.

The Sumaga OST is awesome for those as well:

I agree with you.
Out of all the translated VNs that I have played, nothing top Cross Channel and I probably played 99% of all the translated VNs out there besides nukige.
Although not all Cross Channel songs are good, Diarize and Cyrstale Clear are easily some of the best emotional provoking song.
The only track that can match them is Karma.
The only flaw in Cross Channel was having Mimi senpai in the game. Thank god I got her route out of the way and I couldnt stop playing after crossbow end and finished it in 1sitting.

Nasu really has good taste. First it was CC and then Milky Holmes.

Calm down anon. There is nothing wrong with sharing experiences when reading a VN. It's not like "/jp/, today I cried all day because I'm a useless person. Please pity me and talk about it."

I'm not sure if this fits "to take it easy" but I always like to hear this song. Combined with Phorni's cuteness it gives me a warm feeling like 'everything is alright now'.

Cross Channel and Symphonic Rain have the only soundtracks that managed to gave me that soothing nostalgic feeling.
Or maybe it's the games themselves that did that, anyways both were fantastic

Found Extra and Unlimited to be a good source of relaxing and/or tear inducing BGM.

PP Pianissimo is the best in that category in my opinion. That groovy jazz is just so great.

I preferred Tender grace and School days in Cross Channel more, but that is, of course, a matter of opinion.

I liked Brass Restoration's OST a lot, despite the fact the instrumentation hardly varied. Can't seem to really find any of its music on Youtube, but these tracks are ones that I'd say are good for easy listening.

Does it bring back memories?

Also, not from a VN, but VN-related.
