I don't have a doorbell
No one would come to my place anyway.

My mail lady is nice. She signs for me when she knows I'm home and just leaves the stuff on the doorstep. I leave her a card with money in it on Christmas.

honestly? i always fear it's the police trying to arrest me for posession of loli-doujins..

>> No.7049115

I always wait until the second time he calls the bell
if it's a salesman he will pretty much always signal once and then go on to the next door
if it's someone who actually wants me something they will call again

this

My neck is sore from looking over my shoulder so much. It doesn't help that I live in the UK so I really would be burned at the stake if my loli doujins were discovered

>> No.7049129

Do they always deliver packages directly to the door in the US? Where I live, you always gotta pick it up yourself at the post office, which is sometimes located in a general store.

>> No.7049134

Actually I just go answer it

What the fuck is wrong with you guys.

>> No.7049147

>>7049129
Depends on the size of the package, but I have found no set pattern of how they treat it. My arcade stick was left on my front porch for three hours when I didnt answer the door, I signed for my dollfie, and I had to pick up a few figs at the post office since I was not home at the time. I've also picked up a few doujins and H Manga by the mailboxes since I live in an apartment and the mailboxes have a section where packages can be stored and the key to the package box is placed in my mailbox. I guess it just depends on how the mailman feels that day.

in the first world, there's always some postman trying to give it to you at your door. if you're not at home or leaving your room too slow, they will place some card in your mailbox. then you have 2 options: a) you call their number and request a second delivery attempt or b) you go to their office and show the card * your ID card to get it from them.

I live in the first world and I've never had a postman approach my door. It's always a card in my mailbox. ;_;

I never answer the door, my mother always does it.

>> No.7049179

last year while jerking off to some doujin the doorbell rang and it was the girl from next door who wanted to bring over some money she always brings over once a month because i let her use my wi-fi. i was sweating like crazy from the fapping because it was summer and very hot inside the apartment. i had to open the door because she knew i was inside because i left the light on and you can see that from outside. i was very embarassed and she did some small talk from the first time and i was getting more nervous and sweaty every second until some sweat drops rolled off my forehead and dropped to the floor. i told her i had the flu and that's why i was sweating. i don't think she bought it. that was probably the most interaction i had with a woman who isn't my mom in the last whole last year though.

>> No.7049184

I only open the door if I have to sign for something and my mother is out. Once my brother-in-law came over to pick something up and I didn't open the door, he rang the doorbell like 10 times.

>>7049129
Yes, they drop it off on your porch unless you specify they hold it for you

>> No.7049199

my doorbell gets rung at least two times a month. if i don't expect anyone, i quickly hide under my table so they don't see me through the window. i don't have any friends anymore and if i had some, if they came unannounced i wouldn't open the door

if my mum or sister dont answer the door then the door doesnt get answered, simple as that. if its a delivery then they can go get it from the post office.

i never answer the phone either. waking up at 8pm is a good way to avoid both.

this isnt actually true, in the case of a purported unarmed drug trafficker, they lied about their identities, barged in and maimed the plantiff as they tried to escape, to be precise:

Justice Stevens delivered the opinion of the Court.

In Wilson v. Arkansas, 514 U.S. 927 (1995), we held that the Fourth Amendment incorporates the common law requirement that police officers entering a dwelling must knock on the door and announce their identity and purpose before attempting forcible entry. At the same time, we recognized that the "flexible requirement of reasonableness should not be read to mandate a rigid rule of announcement that ignores countervailing law enforcement interests," id., at 934, and left "to the lower courts the task of determining the circumstances under which an unannounced entry is reasonable under the Fourth Amendment." Id., 936.

so i wouldnt be surprised if they employed similar tactics for anything normals think reprehensible

They do. You'll hear, "POLICE! OPEN UP!" A few seconds later, they'll batter down your door. They do it with drug dealers to prevent them from destroying the evidence.
