Why choose World of Madoka instead Touhou and Gensokyo?

Touhou
-Generic and plain characters with no personality. -World is based on memes:"Baka cirno (9) EYE STRONGEST XD", "SAKUYA PADS!!!" making characters stupid and giving impression of poorly written comedy.
-Nothing ever happens, because characters are 15 years old girls that are supposed to be "thousand years old" so it would be "ok" to draw 18+ doujins.
-Cast reminds of dating simulator: "moe", emotionless, artificial and fake.
-Everything in Gensokyo is just bland and boring
-It's based on xenophobic imagination of drunk Japanese man - everything is perfectly traditionally Japanese without "taints" of dirty foreigners. They even don't have any technology there closed from everything by JAPAN-STRONG barrier.

Madoka Magica
-Living realistic world, with characters that have feelings and emotions. You can sympathize them like with any other person.
-They act like humans. Characters living there are sad, happy, tired, have their good and bad moments.
-Futuristic utopia with modernistic architecture and classical elements where everyone can be happy. As long as you want you can live "normal" life or you can choose to be magical girl.
-Everything seems natural.

No, that's not true at all. That's just the only kind of comedy the fanartists can come up with, because there is little in terms of established personality.

Agree, that's my main qualm with Touhou. It's too eventless, every comic is like "Oh Reimu is lazing around the shrine, oh here's Marisa, coming to visit Reimu." Yeah, whatever.

Hmmm, I've never played those things, so I wouldn't know. Touhou chars don't really behave in a "moe" way (like you see in moe anime shows) though.

The ultimate goal of the human race is to defeat death and live as immortals in an utopia of their own making, be it simulated or real world universes. It's one's best change of actually getting to "Gensokyo". Thinking death is natural just because it's what we have now isn't any better than saying that you'd rather be hit by a bat in the head each morning because you were hit by one each day since you were a child, and when someone offers you the choice to avoid being hit, you're trying to justify why you shouldn't leave your old habit behind.
