Well as I've already mentioned, you don't have to sort it. Simply removing non-doll photos would be plenty.
As for porn, I've yet to spot any, but since all the images were ripped from the 2chan doll board by the thousands, I can't guarantee anything. That's why the collection needs to be "cleaned", so none of that stuff will be included in the torrent.
I'm also doing it myself. I've done like 4000. It's just very tedious, and takes a long time to do by myself, though I do feel more motivated now after people have volunteered to help.

Marisa was probably the quickest and easiest Dollfie I’ve ever had to dress-up.

The new DDS body is considerable more flexible than the basic DD body. But those who are put off by doll joints may find the DDS body less appealing as joints are larger.

Everyone prior to the release kept clamoring about how awesome DDS is (without ever touching one) and even now that they're released no-one's really giddy about showing off their "massive" differences meaning it can't be that great.

So, outside of the Volks demo, what other advantages have you seen of the DDS? To me, it looks like all they did was make obvious the extended range of the elbows and lift the thighs more. Otherwise they're not *that* much better.

If they really wanted to make them revolutionary, they would have improved the atrocious torso assembly to be more like Obitsu and improved the neck joint so you don't have to buy an aftermarket neck piece juts to do the casual "lounging on the belly" pose.

Thanks for the info. I wasn't aware of the new PNXS body. I bought a PN Flection XS body for my Chisa when they became available in Dec. 2010. I broke the left hand when removing it to change clothes. The peg broke off inside the wrist joint. I think the body is small enough that the pegs are thinner and break easier than the larger bodies. Chisa is back on her original Obitsu body for now. The benefit is that the Obitsu body is much more poseable.

The PN Flection XS body is missing the shoulder joints which are present in your picture. I was very confused until I read your text carefully. :)

Great information. Thank you. It seems like they've changed a lot in a short period of time. My first Azone was the EX Cute Secret Wonderland Nina. She's the reason I started to fall in love with dolls. Her articulation meant I could put her in any number of endearing poses.

My second was a few months later, this time the EX Cute Miu, and although her face was way more detailed, her articulation was stifling. I literally could only put her in one or two natural poses. Posing her was a chore, and her arms and legs would pop off with little or no effort. She became a shelf piece.

At any rate, the XS body is much nicer than the Flection. It seems to be the perfect blend of things. If this is the new standard for Azone, I'm quite pleased. I will probably pick up dolls from them at a far more rapid pace if they regularly incorporate the XS body into their line.

That's my gripe too, the poses are limited. upgrading to Flection from the stock Advance body wasn't a huge leap. Supposedly the arm popoff issue was addressed but I still have to mindfully hold it into the shoulder when i'm dressing.

Not shocked, but not angry, Azone had a good idea mixing aesthetics with flexibility and the bodies are still evolving.

With all that being said, they're still dolls not action figures, and like all dolls, outside of being children's playthings, their other target audience is indeed collectors meaning they're intended for shelf display most of the time anyway

Agreed, but dolls are something special. I'm not playing war with them, but I like to change their outfits and poses every so often. To me, that brings life to them. I have a ton of figures that sit in the same position constantly. I don't want that from my dolls.

Yes. My dolls are on display in my display cabinet for the majority of all time and I very rarely alter their pose or outfit (partly because I've been too busy with my studies to devote time to them).

But when you want to change their outfits (and the ability to change outfits is almost essential for a doll) it's necessary to remove some of the limbs. Usually people remove the hands, and sometimes the entire arm or just the elbow, so with the case of the PNXS, after very few removals, the hand can become severely weakened; even if they're on display all their life.

It's a very severe problem, even if it is marketed at collectors.

Best deal for image characters is of course off Volks. They don't really re-release past image DDs so if you want the past ones, look in the aftermarket (Yahoo Auction JP, Mandarake) (stay away from ebay, ripoff.)

If you're waiting for new image DDs, the next are Kudryavka and Beato from Umineko. Rumored upcoming after are Shining Hearts DDs.

I completely agree. If you're looking for something cheaper, the Azone girls are lots of fun too. Since they're smaller, they have less presence in a room. I think they're a bit harder to pose, too. But they're lots cheaper. Be warned, it is a gateway drug. :)

I created my own custom girl with the pre-painted head from the 2010 Dollfie Gathering sale. All told she cost me about $600 including head, body, wig, two sets of eyes, two sets of hands, underwear, and one dress. No shoes. I've since spent about $400 more on clothes, shoes, and props. You'll do a bit better on price with DD Aoi or Yukino, but it is worth saving up and getting the girl you want.

from the promos it seems the DDS bodies are 2cm shorter and have slightly shorter limbs than DD. Sometime a couple months back on the Volks custom blog they demoed DD Rina with a DDS body which showed her long sleeves covering her hands up to her fingers (much like if a younger sister wore her onee-chan's clothes.)

The only other issue i can think of is with tights you may experience fit issues, especially if you get non-volks clothes. e.g., I have 60 cm Azone tights and they're too long for regular DD so take that for what it's worth.
