It is literally three clicks from your mouse. One to drag a box and select stuff, one right click and one to select the delete option. I, for one love my files, and deleting them from my storage drives makes me feel bad.
If a show has made it there, it stays.

Back in the days when I only had my laptop and a measly 320GB external HDD, I'd delete shows every now and then.
Even if they weren't all that bad.

Lately I've been downloading them again (usually as DVD rips) so I could feel better about deleting them back then.

I have a separate junk folder where I dump the files that I never or rarely use. They have nostalgic value to me, and as long as I have space, I see no reason to delete them.

This may seem like a good idea at first, but typically doesn't work out all that well. If you have just a few hosts, you ought to choose a name that makes you go like "patchouli... oh, that cute little violet-white box in the bedroom" with as little conscious thought as possible. Maybe stick a picture or put a figure nearby to help reinforce the mental association, too.

Picking something highly descriptive like "pc1-athlon1800-1g" is tempting, but a) easy to mistype, and b) subject to change in just a few years.

But to each their own, of course...
