Thank you 4chan.
Today morning my parents had a call. The girl you know as ''Cracky-chan" wanted to kill herself and is in hospital now. She will die in one or two days.
FUCK YOU ALL for this I knew her FOR REAL over years. I was never so sad in my life before. Guys do you not realise that this is for real? Thats not fun in the realtity a REAL person DIE because of 4chan.
I hope so all 4chan assholes burn in hell for ever. Thank you 4chan for killing one of my friends. I think this will bring consequences to 4chan.
This is my wish.

/b/ level thread about a /b/ meme? And no one has posted to say they have reported it?

What kind of shitty /jp/ are we turning into?

Of course I remember her. I also saved her ban image, and visited the image board solely dedicated to her.

Eh.. not really. The memes we're just far more thought-out and creative. Not just shit like "forever alone" and "FUUUUU". Nobody took anything seriously, there was no debates or opinions. I've spent a full quarter of my life on 4chan, and it's given me some of the richest and happiest times of my life. We oldfags carry a terrible burden of memory of what the site once was compared to what it now is, but I'll never forget the 2004-2006 days, that stuff will be with me for the rest of my life.

>> No.6969637

Aren't you having rose-colored glasses on? I left /b/ in early 2005 because it was already shit.

>> No.6969649

>>6969637

Yeah /b/ always had shit in it, but there were other parts of 4chan that contributed to the "endearing-ness" of the culture. I went to /k/ when Meplant was there, I was in /f/ when AnonD was making flashes, I was in /r/ when Popcorn was around. When I came here after 5chan died, the most active boards were things like /h/ and /e/. I remember you could make a thread on /b/ and it would be there for days. So yeah, maybe at the time /b/ memes were shit, but compared to now they were pretty good.

Nostalgia goggles, man. After looking through the archives at some of the oldest threads, I feel like it wasn't /b/ that was better, but my sense of humor was worse. It's like /b/ was some grand mirror that showed what you could have been like if you were on any other website as long as you had been on 4chan: Serious, stupid, racist, or a terrible combination of them all. /b/ was only fun because everyone was in on the joke that only a fool would take anything posted there as fact, and it made you feel better about the world.

Personally, I think the last golden era was /v/'s Japan time. Sure, Brawl itself was mediocre, but the wait was so much fun.

Though I was around during /v/'s japan time, and enjoyed it, there was much better before that.
