A potentially /b/ style funny thread destroyed by OP's poor choice of picture, and dum infecting the mod/janitors.

Going to use this to complain.

I was banned for 5 days because of "Rule 8" (complaining about moderation, etc) and yet they leave this thread in the front page for example: http://boards.4chan.org/jp/res/6971584

Jesus christ, seriously.

When you go fishing, you don't get to catch all of the fishes.

Some moderation is better than none, always keep in mind these people are overworked human volunteers that just can't catch everything at all times.

By the way, when you appeal it don't go "there were worse threads out there at the time". It just pisses them off. Everyone ignoring the rules doesn't make it okay.

Take it easy and if you want to complain about moderation you can do it here. That's the whole reason Ghost Mode was created.

Then moot chooses the wrong people once again. Whoever is moderating this board now is pathetic. As you can see he even banned/deleted all posts from a certain IP there. Yet he leaves the thread.

This is just ridiculous. People make moderation look harder than it actually is, it's not THAT bad as they want you to think of. Clicking buttons and typing somethings is not tiresome or hard.

>Is not tiresome [...]
You never had to clean spam for hours, and it just never ends. It's exhausting.

Yeah, current moderation has some serious problems, many of which are not being resolved. Just throwing more people at the problem in the form of the janitor applications is a many-step process that is having the opposite effect in the short term, namely in the form of taking away time from regular moderation duties so they can go through the thousands of applications.

Complain all you want, but in the end moderation is fucking human. Which is worrying specifically due to /jp/ being unpleasable. It tires anyone that deals with the board and in turn we get less moderation. Or people just getting tired of our bullshit.

As usual, hang on for this transition period to end. New natives, more manpower and god willing, better tools to deal with the ban evasion problem.

Don't try to hoodwink people with absurd overgeneralizing statements like this.
That one miserable thread you linked to isn't even a good example of good moderation.

>> No.6968346,16 [INTERNAL]

>>6968346,13
Well I used to be a moderator of many big forums before start using 4chan and my job was to focus on spam, flood and flamewars. Maybe it's just me but I don't think it's that bad. What I honestly think is that those moderating the board don't actually love the board as much as many of us do.
>>6968346,14
I already linked a example of how good this moderation you speak of is, so I won't even bother replying to that accusation of "shitposting".

>> No.6968346,17 [INTERNAL]

Oh yeah, the only post that I complained about moderation yesterday was "Fucking useless janitors" in this thread: http://boards.4chan.org/jp/res/6968267

Maybe we should start to discuss Halo 2 now.

>> No.6968346,18 [INTERNAL]

Remember back in the "good old days" (before obsessive janitor AoC-chan) when we'd often go unmoderated for half a day or more at a time, seemingly at random?
People didn't make hundreds of thousands of metathreads whining about moderation back then. We just joked that the janitor was passed out and moved on.

I think the problem with people like >>6968346,10 is that they got so used to constant moderation that they started taking it for granted and now whenever there's inadequate moderation for a couple hours they pitch a shit fit and make things worse. I, for one, am glad you got banned for it.

The only problem here is us having higher expectations and standards than you. We have a clearer vision of how things should be, so don't even try to drag us down to your level of weak apathetic mentality.

The janitor should delete threads based on our reaction. If there's some actual discussion going on (without the usual buttmaddery), it should stay.
