Okay, more analysis on the scan:

The scene with Tsugumi and Sara's fight:

I couldn't find this line in the PC version.
And the screenshot shows a grey text box instead of Takeshi's green or Kid's blue.

So... is it a revised scene? A new perspective? A new route? Will we finally get a Kaburaki route?

Rereading Tsugumi's story, it makes a whole lot of sense that she'd have a new outfit since she was living on the lam with a cheap job as a seamstress.

Also, the Sara's CG on the far right is a little different. It's hard to see from the scan, but I think they added in details of undoing her ribbon and vest. You know, actually showing resuscitation attempts.

Why is anyone surprised, the J360's been the otaku's console over there for many years. Why? Well partly I'm guessing MS is tapping into a small but reliable (to pay that is) market in order to get a better foothold in the console market there (seems to have worked, the 360 is doing much, much, much better in Japan than the original Xbox did). Because Microsoft Japan is quite supportive of releasing games on their console to the point where they pay developers for exclusives and such. Most content is generally allowed hence why VNs are most commonly released on the 360. Sony doesn't pay anything and they are EXTREMELY anal in regards to what gets released on their console and what doesn't so that's a no-go for most companies. Not sure why they wouldn't release it on the PC though, they probably will after a year (since that's how long the exclusive contract lasts) as they money from Microsoft for publishing on the 360 really does help developers.

Also, couldn't it be that the PC is not such a ubiquitous market like it is.. well, everywhere else in the world? Because a damn lot of Japanese do not have computers and much of them rely purely on consoles for all their gaming needs, i.e even if they have comps they use them mostly for internet. Steam is hardly used over there if that's any indicator.

Although admittedly, yeah, otaku of all people are pretty much guaranteed to have PCs and play games on them, but still, I suppose that the devs hope that maybe they can branch out to a slightly wider audience, since otaku already have 360s anyway and hence probably don't care what it releases on. Otaku seem more friendly with Western electronics anyway and hence don't have as much of that nationalistic ignorance when it comes to these things, after all with no sugoi Japanese OS, they grew up with Windows and seeing English everywhere on the web, and now we have OS-tans etc.

Whilst that's a decent argument it really doesn't work for Japan. The Xbox sells absolutely terrible over there and it pretty much only sold for Im@s, Vesperia (before the 'full' PS3 version was released) and visual novels. This means that it's really only a niche console over there since they love the PS3. Unfortunately, as I mentioned, Sony doesn't allow a lot of content on their console and they have strict rules and guidelines for their games along with zero developer support so the only choice for visual novel companies is to release on the 360. So they get money from Microsoft, money from their product being sold (since it's a little harder to pirate on a console, assuming you want to use it properly) plus they get another burst of publicity and sales after the year is up and they release their product on the PC.

That might actually work, and was what I was thinking last night as I replayed a bit.
Everything in LeMU is recorded.
Using the earpieces, audio and video can be selectively transmitted to people.
In Takeshi's perspective of the Coco route, Coco appeared to be talking to nobody at the same place and relative time that Hokuto was talking to her.

Tanaka-sensei probably noticed these times while watching the recordings, and could overlay them into Hokuto's earpieces, explaining why Kid was the only one to notice her.

In the scene where Coco starts to talk to Blick Winkel through Hokuto, it's explicitly stated that he first sees her heat signature through infravision. So the question is now: Can RSD fake infrared?

Sony did really good at these kinds of things with the PS2 and the PSP, and the PS3 also did somewhat good together with the PSP in the beginning. The PS3 is falling behind now though, what's up with that?

This is probably the 7th port of Ever17. Then again it's pretty much one of those adventure games that everyone likes.

I look foward to the eventual 3DS and PSP2 versions.
