Haagen-Dazs is an American company. I was completely disappointed when I learned that.

It's pretty expensive, but it's pretty damned good.
I've only ever bought it when I was in Japan, though.

Green tea, strawberry, and chocolate all rank very high.
I don't think I ever found a kind I didn't like, although "green tea & chocolate" (or was it cookie?) is inferior to just green tea.

Usually I take actual strawberries with sugar.
The sourish taste + sugar = great.
Ice cream? Not so much.
Plain vanilla flavour is still the best.

In my experience, plain vanilla ice cream rarely tastes like vanilla.

How hard can it be, really?

How some manufacturers came up with making it strangely yellow-ish, and others make it very white and not tasting like anything other than just the "plain" part of plain vanilla is beyond me.
