Actually, no - I've been rereading my doujinshi archive lately and tagging them according to characters, and that motive it's just so ridiculously overdone it's not even funny, though mostly in Sakuya-centric doujinshi.
Worst is the fact that often it's the main theme of the doujinshi, like it's never done before and the author just has to show us the retarded tragedy of it all.
Fucking annoying.
And even worse when it's multiple works by the same author dealing with the same goddamn exact theme over and over again.
Now that I think about it, it was one MarisaxAlice doujinshi that subverted it in a beautifully elegant manner - they were talking about hair, and upon hearing that Alice hair is still growing after she became a youkai, Marisa says/thinks to herself something like "maybe I should grow it a little bit longer than". Just like that.
I need to find this one.
