But why would Battler go for Shannon? He loves Beato and Beato loves him!

>> No.6952307

I only just started reading this last month. I just finished the 2nd episode yesterday. It's really really good. I wish I started it sooner, so I could have joined in all the threads that there used to be.

Enjoy the mystery and intrigue while it lasts. Because by the end of episode 3 you'll be wondering what the fuck is going on, and by the fourth you'll wish you could have gone back to good old Ep. 1.

Yes, and Shannon gave her love to Beatrice while she went for fatty.

Plus, that's piece-Battler speaking

Piece-Battler is still Battler. Also, I doubt that Shannon would say no if Battler actually got off his ass and took her back from George. Shannon and Battler loved eachother, then George got in the way.

Nope, Genji.
Gohda was the one that got pranked

I think the series was pretty good up to around 6. I can't accept this crap about the player being able to do things the game master is unaware of.

>> No.6952499

But why would Genji draw them? STUFF IN UMINEKO HAPPENS, BUT THERE'S NO EXPLANATION.

Because he's Yasu's servant, and Yasu likes to play pranks.

Did you read the tip? Or even ep VII, for what mater.

Jesus, i understand why people hate Umineko, but this is retarded

Erika was only able to go back and change things because Battler told her she could.

>> No.6955516

>>6952568

I'm pretty sure he said she could have the tape and use it in a previous situation. Killing people were probably not part of the deal.

When a piece on the board dies, I'm pretty certain the game master has to be aware of it. You can't just tell him "Well, I killed that Giant earlier, so he is dead and not attacking me now".

>> No.6955529

>>6955516
They were making retroactive moves. She didn't kill them until the moment she needed to (which is the moment of discussion) and then made that move. It applied to the previous story, creating logic error.

>> No.6957605

Ok guys, I don't want to start a new thread for this.

EP 6, the goddamn closed room. Erika nailed Battler with his own contradiction, but Beato kind of helped him out of it.

>Magic side
Battler gets out because of the help of Kanon, who takes the place and disappear with magic. But where lies the truth behind that? Also, how does he disappear in front of the family members?

>Reality
Uhm yeah, ...how does this work, actually?

The only explanation I've seen is that he turns into Shannon.

Yeah, counting different personalities as different people.

>> No.6957663

>>6955529
I thought the retroactive moves only applied to the duct tape, not an ability to go back and change whatever she pleased.

The only real explanation I've ever seen that made sense (besides just assuming it's bad writing) was that Battler intentionally created the logic error to create the chance for the "miracle" that would revive Beatrice.

>> No.6957713

>>6957663
>Battler intentionally created the logic error to create the chance for the "miracle" that would revive Beatrice.
Yeah, this is the only way that I can justify Battler's actions in EP6. Otherwise, it makes absolutely no sense how he was retarded enough to manage to corner himself in his own damn game.

>> No.6957933

>>6957663
Yeah, he'd be the spitting image of Kinzou. Wait a sec...

My brother actually had another theory that didn't involve the action of Yasu. In this version, the explanation is that Erika made herself a culprit, therefore moves herself to Battler's will from that on. Her point of view isn't objective anymore, therefore things can happen that stay unseen to her meta self. In short, she's just letting him out.

I didn't like the reasoning because it would disregard that Beato was the one who turned the table, also the fact that meta-Erika has a cheating link to her game-self and of course it would take away the whole necessity for Battler to rot away in the logic error.
A little bit of trolling from Beato's side with using the gaps in the red truth sounds more fitting to me. It also foreshadows the truth. Fits better, actually.

>>6957663
Well, it WAS Battler's game after all... I don't know if you've read EP8 yet, but it seriously gave me the impression that basically everything was keikaku doori. EVERYTHING. Every little struggle.

Read it again. Erika used tape retroactively. This created a logic error. In order to solve it, Battler was permitted to retroactively rewrite the plot, but because he can do it, Erika is also permitted further retroactive moves.

>Battler intentionally created the logic error to create the chance for the "miracle" that would revive Beatrice.
I think it's obvious. His conversations with "ghost-Beatrice"; with Lambda, that likens his moves to poker, instead of chess and many other things, that I don't remember already.
