The puddles do like 1 damage now and the new rank system doesn't factor in hits at all. I've also barely ever used any potions on my Ranger so my entire inventory is full of them from level 35 and up.

55 items should drop in all of Ghent and some other locations. Level 60 items never drop before 2nd impact as far as I know.
As for emblems wouldn't you rather the damage be done now so it can restabilize? If anything they're just letting it get worse and worse by waiting.
They're really screwing us. Other regions had 55 items, emblems, and crafting when they had to start dealing with the outer world dungeons. We're going to be crippled beyond belief for how hard the dungeons will be.

Most entrance fee required dungeons end up having uniques (pinks) that only drop in their dungeons. Like you can get gauntlets from mechatau, or jewelry from king's relic, or a spear from the Nugol. I think they're all level 55.
I'm not sure what item level chronicle gear counts as. It might be level 60, but I meant the real full spectrum of normal gear. White, blue, purple, etc.

do you need to do something special to get those things to run?

usa version crashes almost instantly with a generic "dfo.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close" message before anything starts. jap version sends me to some faq that says i need to disable compatibility options (not that they are even on) and never starts either, and corean one gets some error message, but that one alone manages to go full screen before crashing.
