I graduated with a 4 year degree in mathematics and a minor in computer science. I have six credits towards my masters in mathematics, but I do not have the heart to finish the degree. I've been on unemployment for the past five months, I dont have much time until I have to work again, so I was thinking I should save finishing my degree for that time.

Poli Sci major here.

CompSci major before switching to PoliSci major then I dropped out because I only had money for another year of school and I really wanted to do something else. Probably going to go back in a couple years after I saved up for 2-3 years of tuition and living expenses. Probably going to end up majoring in Asian Studies and taking Japanese so I don't have to fucking wait for translations.

Physics, realized I really wasn't all that interested in doing so much work.
Philosophy, realized it wouldn't get me a job.
English, realized I have nothing worth writing, no matter the level of perfection I'm able to reach composationally.
So now I'm just doing some philosophy courses for my last semester, considering moving to Washington or maybe England, getting a job, and just living the rest of my life in a small basement, away from all the people I used to know.

Architecture.
Learning actual practical skills was nice, but bullshitting and asslicking having precedence over skill, talent and effort in any kind of creative subject were a bit too much for me. Not to mention, I didn't want to study it in the first place - before then I went with the flow, without even thinking for myself, so I went with something popular with my classmates that pleased my parents.

Bullhonky!
All he must do is venture forth in a glorious quest as the one-handed swordsman, find a fragment of creation in a shard of starmetal fallen to the earth, and then use the legendary hammer of Charsi to shape the silver appendage. After then severing his mangled hand, and pressing the cool legend-metal to his bleeding stump, he will be more than man. And then his wondrous works will collect fame, falling into the hands of the destined; heroes and villains, legends and forgotten men alike shall wield his steel creations. But first he must leave his comfortable life behind him, and brave the dangers of the world, battling (and fleeing from) the fearsome fiends that roam the wilds of the mountains that home the vast dragon-hoards - the most likely place to find that which he must have in hand to complete his destiny.
...
God damn it. See, I can come up for story ideas, and even write sometimes, but about half way through the planning of any work, I just get discouraged, convince myself that everything is stupid, and decide to scrap it all and try again from scratch.

I know. It's pretty much the only thing that interests me, but I don't really plan on pushing forward into a respectable position. I'll be happy with pretty much any job as long as I can spend my time outside of work doing the same thing I'm doing now.
