So say you're reading a VN because it's one of the "big ones" that gets recommended a lot. And you're not enjoying it so far... so you give it a few months hiatus and come back to it later... thinking that a fresh mind will make it appealing. But it doesn't get that interesting.

Do you stop reading it?

Or do you force yourself to continue... simply because so many others enjoyed it; hoping it might get 'good'.

You stop reading it. Do you need the internet to make all your decisions for you?

>> No.6904023

You shouldn't force yourself to do somehting you don't want to.

My god, anonymous do you care about other people's opinion that much? Just drop that already and go read something else.

>> No.6904027

If you don't like it, stop. The time you took to trudge through it could be used to read a handful of other things you might enjoy.

Learn to think for yourself.

It's Clannad, isn't it? I don't think anyone has finished that in it's entirety.

You're trying too hard

The internet has made me who I am today, and I'm an indecisive person, easily swayed.

It's Tsukihime. I actually like Clannad, almost done finishing all the routes.

I'm coming onto my second year of having had this game and I'm still at the beginning of afterstory. Then again I don't play it much and I didn't use guides so, yeah.

I actually had the same problem with Fate/Stay Night. Type-moon flavour is nice and all but the novels don't really attract me that much.

>> No.6904072

I'd keep going. No matter what happens, I eventually get around to finishing what I start.

That's just being irresponsible. Only you can decide what kind of person you will become.

>> No.6904083

Taking a hiatus is usually a bad idea, especially an extended one. You'll forget the finer details of what you were reading before as well as loosing any previously existing emotional attachments, and more likely than not it'll end up disinteresting you more in the end.

>> No.6904239

I never managed to finish Kira Kira because I thought the first couple of hours was pretty boring and were not exactly very interesting.

Then I took a break from reading that, and never touched it again.

>> No.6904353

lost my save on Remember11, was about to start Satoru route....so its kinda hard to continue...

>> No.6904357

If I don't like something then I'll simply stop reading it. Thankfully I'm pretty easy going and can enjoy most things, so it doesn't become an issue.
