Illusion to illusion: You saw something that wasn't there, explanation follows
Earth to earth: You saw something that was really there, explanation is not necessary but may follow.

See, was that so hard?

Claire makes a statement for the twilight. If there's a trickery in that statement, he says illusions to illusions, and gives you a hint for how to get around it. If he says earth to earth, it means it was the opportunist murderer going around gunning people down. No trickery involved.

The three possible suspects, Kumasawa, Nanjo and Genji are all loyal to Yasu so they wouldn't kill her.

I think a few of them don't give much of a hint at all. Though I guess you have to match them with some kind of theory.
