The inscription given on the site is 肥後守定駒, which doesn't completely match up with what's on the picture either here or the site as it's missing the leading character. It doesn't make any sense in Japanese either; the characters don't form any real kanji compounds and there are no kana on either the handle inscription or the optional case, which leads me to believe it's some faux-tradtional Chinese type of thing. The meaning of the characters, in order is: [manure] [behind] [protect] [determine] [horse]. Almost sounds like some kind of scatalogical joke.
