I study the occult a lot. You can reach Gensokyo through dreams, astral projection, ect. but you can't take your body there. It's a purely spiritual place, what makes you think that your body will work like that?

You could shoot yourself and hope that you will to be there is strong enough, but you'll have a better chance if you spend your life meditating and preparing yourself for the journey and reality of the place. Or at the very least, spending a few years at it.

What you don't realise is that, even if you get to Gensokyo, the Touhous we all know from the games/other works are like either celebrities or criminals there. At best, you'd make some friends in the Human village. At worst, your social phobia would make you an outcast there too. And since Gensokyo is socially lagging behind from the real world, you'd get banished and left alone to get eaten by youkai. And not the cute ones, but the hairy, ugly ones that eat you without sexing you first.

Plus, by trying to open a working portal, you might tear the world apart

In Gensokyo it would be cured! The same about all other diseases that bother you. That's why you should go there! And there are a lot of not described touhous, maybe you will manage to cause next incident with your new friends? Or maybe you will live in peace and get to be next playable character? I made one of those bleach portals, but I got ripped off - it sent me to some retarded techno-dystopia where everything is colored green and machines constantly fuck with us. It's not like Star Trek where everything is awesome and life is easy; if anything I'm lucky to have made it this far without either starving to death or being killed by the robotic overlords.

The only silver lining is that I can still access 4chan. In other words, I fucking hate this place.

What about salt portal? I did read that if you eat too much salt you can have problems with your blood and veins, and its nearly painless but takes sometime before teleporting you to Gensokyo.

Been drinking 4 liters of diet soda a day for probably near 10 years now. Not trolling; I switched to 2 liter bottles to save money and noticed that I went through 2 a day consistently.

The only real thing it does is give me excess stomach acid. I'm jumpy, but I'd be even more jumpy if I didn't get my fix and I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was a little kid - 26 now.

Killing yourself is not that fucking hard if you're actually serious about it; you could just slash your own throat with a straight razor and bleed to death. If you live alone this method also has an added bonus of making a huge fucking mess that likely won't be identified until the smell starts to frighten your neighbors.

But if you live with your family don't do it like this because then it'll fuck THEIR lives up. Just do the potassium cyanide method if you live with family; let them at least think it was from sudden illness or some shit.

Correction: using cyanide specifically for mining is banned in some countries. The reason for this is because industries were dumping the shit left and right.

Chances are, you're not going to find a country worth living in that doesn't have its own jewelers. As the image says, jewelers use potassium cyanide. I could by fucking uranium ore and polonium-210 (the stuff that killed that ex-KGB spy) and have it sent right to my apartment.
