Cross Channel has a pretty good soundtrack. The "casual" tracks for when there is nothing going on are great. Most VNs have annoying or unfitting tracks for such scenes but I was able to actually relax and follow the scene with Tender Grace and Diarize for example.

And Starry Heavens was perfect for when Taichi was thinking alone.

Airwaves is really catchy, too.
Even though I don't recall any scene that actually uses it.

Or maybe I just play too much Nanaca Crash.

Could anyone explain what happened at the end of the novel? I know that Tachi "saw" everyone in the other world, and sent them back and he remained. However, just a little after that, he was dreaming or something about them saying they want to bring him back and that they have to kill him. What was this about, or was it just Tachi being delusional at this point? Also, is it impossible for Tachi to go back to the original world, or is he doomed to stay in the empty world forever? If he was really that sick of it, couldn't he kill himself at the hokura, or did the time resets stop when he sent everyone back?
Oh, and one more thing, In the Tower of Friends, after having killed everyone, he mentions he feels another presence, his senpai. Does this mean this guy was in every route, or had he always died by the river/was it Miki cleaning up his blood?

>> No.6839828

>>6839814
the opportunity to pass between worlds had passed by the end of CC iirc, I think the time resets continue but I'm actually not quite certain
no clue on that last point

>> No.6839845

>>6839828
Oh, I see.
Another thing I just thought of, I understand that Tachi had a horrible childhood and was forced to kill a bunch of people, hence why he was sent to that school, but couldn't he have gotten therapy or some kind of help? Or am I just scraping the top of his character? I didn't feel that he was that horrible of a monster, he was just a circumstantial monster. I understood he was hiding his true personality of wanting to kill everyone, but I'm sure he could have gotten help, or be sent to a psych ward. Oh, and why was Miki in there anyways? What the hell did she do?

Maybe I'm thinking too realistically.

I don't recall them saying that Taichi should be killed. In my interpretation that's just Taichi dreaming or maybe even making a crossing with them so they can watch and talk to him for a brief time without realizing.

Taichi can't warp himself to the other world because he loses that ability when he warps Youko because he used it too much. If he were to reset himself in order to do so we don't if he would even be able to find out what is going on. Aside from that he doesn't want to go back because he knows he can't achieve a happy ending as long as he is around since is totally unstable and will eventually do something horrible.

The presence he feels are the people from the other world coming inside. The taichi of the desolated world is totally insane and he might be feeling Misato or maybe even his other self. The blood that Miki is cleaning is Taichi's or from someone that died / was hurt at the corridor (can't remember exactly). The body found in the forest when he follows Kiri is the corpse from Taichi of that desolated world.

>> No.6839856

>>6839814

Taichi can't go back, no, and the time resets do continue. He just spends every week building the antenna all over again to do his one broadcast.
I don't remember them saying anything about killing him, but if it helps the part where he's sleeping on the bench and hears all they're voices is around when I think he went delusional.
As for ToF, you're basically right, he always dies by the river. The blood Miki cleans up is one of his victims (probably the other Miki, given she's the one we know died in a hallway).

Pretty much.

Oh, and why was Miki in there anyways? What the hell did she do?
You'll probably have to reread her route for that one. It wasn't clear to me either but the part where they talk about "her ultramarine" probably tried to explain it.

>> No.6839862

well, the school they were in was both therapy and containment I thought, they were all pretty damaged people and there was a lot of reference to the adaptation coefficients

Therapy would be useless to someone like him. He would most likely be locked in a sanatorium for all his live while being studied.

Miki scored something around 42% on her test. She only cares about herself and that's why she was acting like the innocent unaware girl while killing everyone else.

Following what is said in >>6839873

She probably got filled with despair of them being the only ones around or something like that. People tend to harm each other when they are together under a situation of extreme pressure in order to survive, you know like killing before being killed. It's something instinctive I guess.

Oh I forgot to mention: If I recall correctly what triggers all that is the fact that she saw a dead body and concluded that someone was killing. (that body is probably the "old man" in the woods) But I would have to read again to be certain

>> No.6840033

Hoo boy, you guys sure explained a lot. I always forget that there's more than one Miki running around in the first couple of weeks. I imagine she dies rather quickly though, or Miki's plan would get messed up.
And I guess I was taking Tachi's problems too realistically. If he can transform into a beast at the drop of a hat, perhaps it isn't possible to fix him. Not to mention he's completely okay with being isolated from ANYTHING. That kind of attitude defies human nature, which is why I suppose he never considers himself human. It's sort of sad though, I doubt he was born like this. It's upsetting that Youko pushed him into this life.

>> No.6840304
