Hello /jp/, it's my first time posting on this board.
I'm interested in starting to play Visual Novels, /v/ told me i should ask you guys about it.
So where do i get them? Do i have to patch them or are there English versions available? Do you have any recommendations on what i should play/read first? What are your personal favourites?

Great. Another thread like this among the other 10 we have every day.

vndb.org, pick yourself, use filters.

google.com for downloads.

Don't make recommendation threads.

Leave your /v/ habits on /v/.

It's alright. As long as you're not /a/, it's alright.
We respond hatefully in an attempt to stave off the cancer.

I usually get my VN's from nyaatorrents, but Google hasn't failed me yet.

The customs are actually to lurk silently for a couple months before starting posting.

I'm only doing this because you posted Asuka.

>So where do i get them?
http://erogedownload.com/downloads/
Alternatively; http://vnddl.webs.com/list.txt

>Do i have to patch them or are there English versions available?
Usually you'll have to patch them. most of those downloads should include the patch if they're available. If they don't, then just google it.

>Do you have any recommendations on what i should play/read first?
I typically recommend Saya no Uta to beginners, since it's short, straightforward and excellent.

>What are your personal favourites?
Kana Imouto, Cross Channel and Ever17
