I truly and honestly wish it was mine. My computer only has 50GB of space at max, and I don't even have graphics card. I had a nice pair of headphones, but my mom's dog ruined them. My monitor is horribly large (takes up most of my desk), but the screen is only 1024x800.

I know I afford my stuff with scholarship money. Fill out tons of of essays and forms for more spending money. Tuition is only 12k~ a year at Clemson. Scholarships cover all of it and more.
Assuming a lot of people are in the same boat as I am. I've seen a lot of people get by on disability too though.

That looks a lot like an IC-78 (probably pointing to 21.175 MHz - RTTY/data band), with an antenna tuner on top. Heck, it's probably the guy's callsign in the background. I doubt he's actually browsing /jp/, though.
