Everything in the game can be bought for ingame currency, since all cash shop items can be traded (and are in the auction house). There are tons of level 60s out there with full Rare avatar sets who never bought a single dollar of NX.

They're not that good, seriously.
Male nens can't guard teammates or buff them making them trash DPS that wear cloth.
Male brawlers don't have nearly as much of the badass control or the raw damage of the females. They just get to run around and shoot like gimp gunners.
DFO is dominated by a female hegemony. Female gunners dominate male gunners for the most part too.

After male fighters are complete there are major rumors that female slayer will be next.
Neople has stated they want to keep DNF sort of where it is while the other regions catch up. They want to have big interregional tournaments or something.
So in the mean time they're introducing incredibly hard to obtain stuff (Third chronicle set) for an endgame, and expanding the classes/tweaking/rebalancing.
Supposedly this should also mean that thief and priest are finished to have 4 classes in the coming year or so. (Probably after fslayers)

There are two filters in place.
IP block for all non NA users and also it checks your computer's locale. You need to be in NA locale to get in.

You gotta set your computer to US and not Japan or some other place. This bug was on the PTS when the priest patch was tested and they later posted, after it went live, that it was one of the things they were looking into but never got back to it, just like the summoner summons not doing the right damage or the fact they gave summoner a spell that doesn't work and nerfing/bugging the summoner awakening.

gave up on dfo after doing master/king's road vilmark solo as a witch until my brain melted and was still only 1/2 done getting the weapon.

I only like my nen, witch, and elementalist.
my nen and elementalist both have it (I share them with a friend of mine, we afked our alts through)
All in all I've done 1 1/2 terranite weapons worth of runs...
I'm a Dark/fire/rain witch, so I have good enough aoe (solo'd everything, can carry anyone) and do well enough. My lack of broomspin (only lvl 1) does hinder me in pvp though.
Light/Fire/Ice is really good, but it got boring for me, since I mostly solo on my witch anyway. I party more than enough on my Nen and t3 ele.
