That's what makes her the best. Besides, she helps Taichi faithfully in every single damn route up until the last one with no conditions other than be carried like a new bride/princess and that comes near the end of the game, Christ. She makes his food, she keeps him safe, and she wants to fuck his brains out, all while acting superbly empty and, well, awesome. Cross Channel. Translated. 9/10 rating. Easy to find, though I needed /jp/'s help to install it, firmly cementing me as a massive retard forever. Author got inspiration from Kusarihime, which was the same game Gen got inspiration for Saya no Uta from. This guy took the concepts of loops, Nitro+ took the inspiration from eldritch lolis. Both turned out masterpieces.

Though the lack of Youko love is seriously disturbing. Like, really, /jp/! Maybe it's the time of day...

Oh yes, it was incredibly sad and it's what convinced me that Saya no Uta is a masterpiece.

I think Cross Channel's ending was right about that level.

It would have been "bloom ending" tier if only Taichi had accepted Youko. Yeah, I was really disappointed by that, but I guess that's just me (I'm certain quite a few others agree, but I don't see 'em). Thinking of it objectively again, the ending it has is the best one, but subjectively, I long for a Youko end. I guess because it's transient and incorporeal, it will forever remain a perfect state in my mind, so I guess that's good, at least.

Well, this isn't entirely true, but I certainly understand what you're saying.

Regardless, Taichi was intentionally exaggerating when he said Youko caused his insanity. Anybody exposed to the shit in that mansion, especially a child, is going to break. It was just a matter of how here, and becoming a pervert ninja aspie prone to spontaneous bouts of mass murder is not nearly as bad as being Yutaka's bitch for your short life.

I wouldn't say that she should burn down the shrine or anything, as that would likely force Nanaka's hand (I think she's more unwilling than unable to help Taichi so that he actually IS able to fix himself and save his friends) unless her existence is tied to the shrine. Furthermore, an ignorant Youko wouldn't be able to act correctly around a ignorant Taichi for them to become affectionate and their days would be full of conflict.

Perhaps I'm even wishing for a Bad End, where she succeeds. But the ideal end would indeed be Taichi accepting her, and that's just hard. I was actually expecting her attitude to change in a way that would finally allow them to reconcile and she wouldn't cooperate in being throne out of the world. But that was wishful thinking. I knew Taichi didn't like Touko, but damn, I didn't think his aversion to her was so huge. Well, I'm just dreaming my little waifu dream over here.

And... DOESN'T THIS SOUND SO FAMILIAR?

I am well, well, well aware. I'm saying that burning the shrine would be too severe. And yeah, maybe eventually she'd find a way to get Taichi to accept her (without tying him up first) after he realizes how far she went... maybe... there's a slim chance...

I liked this games but there were a few key factors that prevented me from rating it very high:

- The game is impossible to complete without a guide.
- The game's ero is needless and awkwardly tacked on.

I think this game was mostly memorable because you were forced to play through the same thing multiple times. Kind of like what Umineko does.

Besides that, it was quite enjoyable.

I feel the opposite, that the ero was rather necessary due to Taichi's very nature as a person, and it's not like the sex scenes just spontaneously happened (accept to an extent in Kiri's route, where she consents for kind of fucked up reasons, but then, I've always thought of her as an idiot, if still a good girl). Youko and Touko in particular get all over you, and Miki and Misato accept Taichi as a natural progression of their relationships. Miki's Invisible Murder route actually does have a kind of tacked on sex scene, but it makes sense in context and is all the more reason for her to reset herself with Taichi at the end.

And Jesus, there is NO WAY Youko wouldn't fuck Taichi given the chance.

She's too vindictive. Her hatred of Taichi, though understandable, was far misplaced, overreactionary, and also ruined many repetitions for no reason but a grudge she couldn't have possibly understood. She is way too rigid in her beliefs. If she was really as capable of seeing through people as is suggested, Miki and Youko would not have escaped her radar so very, very easily. It was totally based on her personal bias and probably involved with her minor androphobia. That said, on the other hand, she's only trying to do what she thinks is best for Miki's safety, but she is very easy to manipulate (by anyone) because she really is just that predictable. Well, at least she's not as retarded as Touko, but she's still pretty... yeah. She's definitely a good girl, though, and the last route with her in it really influenced my opinion of her, so it's not like I don't like her or anything.

Seen it done before with plenty of success. Well, just the fact that she rejected him at that moment could be a sign of intelligence, if I think about it that way. Yet... everyone at Gunjou is off their rocker, so she really could have been more understanding. The irony of her focusing all her hate on Taichi when just as, if not even more perfect monsters were people she both trusted and respected really keeps me from thinking she's all that smart, though. Even with the in-depth explanation of what Gunjou is, still coming to the conclusion that "Taichi is a monster who feeds off people's despair" without all that much thought is also kind of grating. Well, she is a woman, so I guess it's impossible to think with her head and not her heart, even at the expense of all reconciliation and therefore hope in the one-week world. And she herself is certainly a Gunjou student and can't help herself, which doesn't really help her case, but still.
