The first Eroge/VN general thread of the year! It's a been week since the last thread.

Finished Akatoki!'s grand route. Kukuriku is the Kuriyama of the year all year. Honorable mentions include the nameless Pierrot and Chikka is my wai(ry. The gameplay part was pretty fun. The story was a standard shounen plot with power of love and friendship, protagonist armor, duex ex machina, and time traveling and multiple worlds oh my. The sex scenes were disappointing since theres only nine total for five heroines. Oh well, theres probably going to be a fandisk. If I have to compare it to the last eroge I played, I liked this better than Axanael. I hope someone else besides me played this so we can talk in black boxes about Pierrot and shit.

I'm going to take a break before playing another eroge. What's everybody's opinion on Sekaijo so far? Gonna grab that next, heard it's pretty much a comedyge. I hope Yuko Goto won't disappoint.

Still reading Gensou no Avatar. It's pretty good but I kinda hate the main heroine (violent dishonest tsunderes who don't know what they want are the worst kind), and I wish the game wouldn't concentrate oh so much on her, or on boring stuff I don't care about (like TL;DR infodump about 1000 years old history, or going on shopping with girls, fuck those). I want more Gin-san in their place instead. And Macchan back too.

good to hear, as IM Zero is seriously awesome.
the first chapters is just bit slow as it introduces the setting and is bit of cliche because of it. stuff actually starts picking up at start of chapter 2, and when you meet Haisherra first time after that it quickly escalates to awesomnes and peaks at the end of chapter 3 where the first climax is (also it's even better if you know nothing about the IM series.). And after ch3 altough it slows down a bit you probably can't put it down due the twist there.
PS Haisherra is hte best character in the series. Altough I pretty much like the whole primary cast of the series (only one you really have met so far of that is Serika)

So anyone started the new EDEN yet? Lavice is fucking awesome. I'd put her and Mezaroa on about the same level. Truly fascinating character.
Also in case anyone wonders, the trial is 1.05 MB long script-wise, so it's far from short.

Maybe
they were waiting for the authors to be free?
They should have already a route outline and what CGs they need, as proved by the OP video

Just finished the trial of secret game - CODE : Revise. just one thing flat: FUCK YOU, just FUCK YOU, that was jut low LOW I Say, just FUCK IT. That was in noway fair thing to end the trial in anyway just FUCK. just just just... so so so...bastards. Now I'm so depressed in many ways than one, and I can't sleep at all until 25.3, and why hell they do have to release Eustia and SG-CODE:revise- on the sameday, it will be hard to read both at the sametime.

So yeah, Secret Game: CODE:Revise will be awesome, and not just because it has yandere chainsaw wielding meidos. but damn that trials ending just fuck it. I just can't do anything but read the whole thing once it goes out, because there fucking better be good end for Kotomi (I have softspot for her type of characters, needless to say that I BAWWW'd at the trial). And hey it's always fun to see protags who have snapped and decide to kill everyone.

I'm in bit high emotion state right now, I'd better go cool down a bit, and weep

Hey, I warned that it ended on a huge cliffhanger. But yeah I loved the twist and can't wait to see how the story will develop now.

It also made me realize I don't handle cliffhangers well and should stop playing trials of games I'm expecting and are not out for another 2 months.

Well I tough it was decent place to end the trial, yes it might have ended right after the twist in bit of cliffhangerish place but it was the "begining" point of the story and gave good sneakpeak what to except. If it had ended before the twist I wouldn't been nearly as interested in it, and if it ended later it would have bothered me more. Most of my raging come from the fact that Kotomi was my favorite heroine, so her dying was ;_; kinda for me. .
But now really looking foward to how the story will develope from now, as CODE:Revise is now my second most wanted VN to read after Eustia.
Also, housemaids how do they work, when they think that it's obvious for them to have chainsaws.

Studied about a year and a half, North American (us). Learned kanji and vocab and the other basics in isolation up until a couple months ago. Someone suggested actually reading shit, and that was a really good idea, because i learned more in the last 2 months than I had in the last 6 months prior.

Point of warning tough, most of the trial is just setting/character building, some action here and there and foreshdowing that shit will hit the fan. and then at the end of the trial shit hits the fan. But it's worth it for just the final scene where the protagonist snaps and declares this: "Nothing matters to me anymore. ... everyone, I'll massacre them". So yeah it will be nice to see how this all goes now that the protagonist is hostile one instead of the usual everyone must live one. Altough there better be atleast one good end route because I wan't Kotomi to live . So yeah that final scene pretty much means that the rest of it will be pretty awesome ride when it gets released.

That sounds interesting. I really liked the protagonist of the two previous games though, he was very a interesting character, but the thing I disliked were the endings always being just a little too convenient.

Is this game still using the chapter system or are there routes and choices now?

I haven't played the original killer queen yet, but you could say that CRs protag was similar to SGs protag at first but bit something happens at the end that causes that thing I mentioned in spoiler. But agree on the convenient part, it's still up to air whatever it all goes like that in CR. But as for trial, there wasn't any choices or chapter selection in it, it was linear. But final product I'd guess that there either will be choices or chapter approach, but I don't know as I only have read the trial and not any other information about it, and am using common sense.

Have to say tough the artist has improved quite bit siince secret game.

The one given to you, no routes.
Chapter 2 lets you enter if you want to TSubaki's route
Chapter 3 to Kanon
Chapter 4 for Mizuha
Mizuha and Tsubaki as routes are pretty bad
Chapter 5 is Haru true end, you can't advance chapter if you go for a heroine.

Well, bump.
Just finished the game (Haru route), chapters 3-4 were pretty meh. The rest was entertaining though.
That fake confession

>> No.6781667

Finished Sekaijo.
Well, I guess the game was built around Yumeko anyways, but it's still annoying that every other heroine route is built upon "how to deal with her now that we like each other". It makes you feel like their routes are "wrong", and I don't like it that feeling. I like Yumeko herself well enough though, she's cute.
The art was incredibly mediocre. I'm not even talking about sameface, but every fucking CG had glaring anatomy errors (shoulders, necks, hands holding something, bent legs), reused poses (Nako and Sakurako's HCG look almost the same, one CG out of three is just a diagonal shot of a character) or were just flat out boring to look at.
The script was pretty funny though, it's been a while since the last eroge that actually made me laugh on multiple occasions.
Ako shouting three banzai while climaxing just made me drop dead.
