The connection is flawless with some, and impossible with others.
Games with regions further away always increases the risk and also gradually increases latency etc.

But for games within the same region, it should work, but it really doesn't all the time.

In theory there shouldn't be any difference, all the game does is point the data at a different address.

But I've heard of a few people that had their problems fixed by using Hamachi. I don't think I could convince the rest of /jp/ to try it though.

I'm thinking that maybe the game uses an extra port other than the one you choose and people who have upnp disabled on their routers get disconnected when the game tries to use it. It's the only explanation I could think of for why Hamachi would fix it for people.

Probably because port forwarding. In fact, what you are doing is creating a server, and that's something possible for some people, and impossible for the rest, like me.

That's why LAN networks always works. You don't have to create a server in the internet, you play on a local network, which is easier because you don't have to care about port forwarding or shit like that. Just connect to the machine you want to play, maybe make a few exceptions in your firewall if you have one, and everything is set up for a match!

Thanks! That worked, but unfortunately, my keys still don't. Could you please help me out a little longer? I just want to replace KeyAB, KeyBC, and KeyABC to single buttons. 1. go to run and type cmd.
2. type ipconfig and copy your Ipv4 address
3. go to your (dlink/linksys) router management, there should a section for portforward, type your Ipv4 there

inlcuding a port, we use 10800,07700 or any, save settings.
4. go to any web browser, google "check ip"
5. you should have that ip:10800 as a result.

I recommend you hold block more often when you're getting up, I was able to hit you most of the time I tried as you were getting up (so i kinda tried to do that less often...). The person standing usually has the advantage in that situation so it's often best just to just block low rather than try to attack right away unless you've got some trick up your sleeve.

Stable? I don't know but it's better for sure if you live in the heart of Europe like Germany, Netherlands & Co, Nordic Spic Countries.

It's relatively close to each other, so response times are pretty good within this area which is much more important in videogames than the connection speed.

However, if you go further than that like say Spain, Portugal, or Eastern Europe, then it will influence the connection quality, even more so if the end users don't have good connections to begin with.
I barely get yellow connections with fags from over there in SF4. For EE, Poland is just about fine but beyond that will be shitty.
It depends on England and other countries of Monkeys Island on the connection and game / netcode used. During CS the pings were 2-4x higher. In SF4 I'm getting yellow connections with Brit fags.

How many of you use cable rather than wireless internet connection?
I played against someone, and it didn't work at all, but then he plugged in his ethernet cable and it was flawless.

It seems the game is increadibly sensitive as it kills the connection whenever a package isn't sent as expected.

I haven't had much problem at all, and I have always used cable.

Apparently, if it receives a packet out of order, it immediately kills the connection.
Or at least that was what nonotan from Mizuumi said.

it wouldn't suprise me if it is overly sensitive to simple errors from simple noise.
Usually, a wireless connection results in a shittier connection, but it might just be the case that this game kills the connection instead, as it has no way to cope with such things.

I know you should always use cable when you play online, but I just figured, that what if the majority of the people that have complained about the netplay, have in fact, been using wireless connections instead.

Bern and Rena are most likely going to be patched in though.

Supposing he has the same skill level as you, you both dont really have much to learn from each other so the "learning" is kept to a minimun, difference is, your BOTH learning and you are BOTH having fun, because matches are closer and you get more motivated.

If a players skill could be rated from 1 to 10, my guess is a 4 would learn the most from a 7 (if he wants to obviously, in most cases he won't) and wouldn't really learn much from another 4, then again, thats just theory fightan.
