Hi /jp/, I recently decided that I would like to try out some visual novels. I know that you guys are experts at this and I would really appreciate it if you could help me out with charts or anything.

It would be great if you could give me give me a rundown on the different types of VNs, in terms of story, ero, settings etc. and most importantly, where to get them

Thanks again /jp/. Again, I would greatly appreciate any help.

I expected the snob or wolf food chart.

Medium rare to rare if steak, Medium well or above if it's any kind of hamburger I'm not sure about. I've had the runs from undercooked hamburger before so it's more paranoia than anything...

I really would love some help here, any help at all.

I don't bloody meat.

Great place to look up some VN's. As for starters, /jp/ usually recommends Planetarian and F/SN.

http://www.hongfire.com/forum/showthread.php?t=50772&page=1

Planetarian. Can't find a F/SN link right now, sorry. After that, you can move to something more advanced, like Sengoku Rance. Umineko is pretty good too (in my opinion) despite the shitty art. The story stops making sense after a while but the music is godlike, and it's a fun read overall.

I had a chart with me here, but I lost it when I formatted. Sorry. Anyway, these are all my personal recommendations, except for F/SN, which seems to be /jp/ required reading these days.

G-Senjou no Maou is excellent as well.

Also, to everyone who thinks I shouldn't be helping this guy, suck my salty dick.

That's all I can really help you with since I don't read VNs

Steak sucks.

I've never tried anything besides well done. Is it really worth it?

We have some standard charts, but it helps if we know exactly what you're looking for in a VN, that way we can better direct you to your needs.

Also, next time try posting an image related to the thread. Just like with any other board, if the image you post is more interesting than the topic at hand, don't expect to get very many serious answers.

OP here, for some reason, I'm smiling at this thread.

Thanks bro, I'll check out what you said.

Medium rare is pretty good, lots of people swear by it. It's got just the right amount of juice and toughness.

I'm feeling a bit generous today, so I'll give you some help. Most people are ignoring you because we literally JUST had a thread on this, so I'll link you it.

Enjoy your VN experiences, they can be quite great. A relatively recent site that has a lot (if not all) english translated VN is erogedownload.com. Use and love it along with vndb.org.

We would all appreciate it if you delete your thread after you find what you want

When I cook my steak, I'm always going for well done but I always get medium. I'm a horrible cook... But I can't understand why anyone would want anything less cooked than medium. Wouldn't people be afraid of eating some kind of parasite or something?

>> No.6726989

i prefer medium well personally

if you understand a little bit of japanese grammar, and are able to read katakana and hiragana you could do most visual novels in japanese with the help of a translator program for the kanji, look up translator aggregator
gives you alot more variety of vns to read

>> No.6727000

I always use olive oil, so well done/medium well gets the best of it, usually.

Due to steak being a solid slab of meat, unless it's been sitting out for far too long, most harmful bacteria and such shouldn't get deep enough into it that it needs to be cooked all the way through. Compared to say hamburgers made from chop meat, which should be cooked nearly all the way through due to the chop meat having greater surface area and allowing microbes to penetrate more of the meat.

It's probably no coincidence that hamburger is fucking delicious when burnt to a crisp, either.

That's why you buy your meat at a trusted butcher who knows his shit.

A good steak, made from quality meat, cooked to medium/medium-rare/rare by a good chef is delicious.
