Just /a/ random guy popping by out of curiosity
Suprised at the amount of Touhou in here, honestly.

All I can say is I _played_ all of the games, but I only ever got into 7 (finished it on lunatic) and the fighting games, played em alot as well.

Euh, Touhou general, I guess.

(By the way, tried to get Touhou running with my gamepad, but when firing, after a few seconds it automatically goes into focus mode. Any way around it except smashing the button ?)

Look for other threads. There's way too much to discuss with Touhou to limit it to one general thread.

/jp/ is like an onion, instead of just assuming that everything on the front page is what's hot it's more like the first 5-10 pages or so.

I know a chunk of the lore, but far from most of it.

In the options there should be a setting about slowing on shot, if it's activated, turn it off.
A lot of shoot 'em ups don't have a dedicated focus or slow button, but instead work by tapping for a wide/rapid shot with fast movement, and holding the shot for a focused shot. ZUN included the option to play touhou like that so that people didn't have to get used to it.

We've been waiting for 13 for a while now, and instead have gotten two side-story games, Double Spoiler and Fairy Wars. Go play those (and Shoot the Bullet) if you didn't yet.

It appears that ZUN hasn't said anything regarding TH13 for C79, so maybe we'll see something for Reitaisai in a few months. If not that then the August comiket.
