In all seriousness, just fake it 'till you make it. Put all your effort into scoring the interview and the first few weeks, then taper your interaction to where you're comfortable.

It's not like you'd be the first person to misrepresent yourself at an interview.

Hey, if a college dropout like me can make $14 an hour in this economy, with a job he had no experience in, I'm sure you can too.
