She's an emotionally-stunted, anti-social freak who (by canon) engages in curse-rites and buys "happy dream" medicines from eirin, either because she's chronically depressed or to suppress the nightmares that probably wrack her fucked up mind.

She locked herself away in the forest and focused on her magic to the point that she became a youkai, so now she has ten times the lifespan to spend alone, trying to make a sentient doll so she'll finally have a friend she can deal with, because she can control every aspect of it's creation.

Alice is completely fucked in the head and we all know it.
