it's magic bitch, i ain't gotta explain shit.

>> No.6668646

I just finished reading the main part of ep7, so I just want to clarify..

Yasu is Lion. Yasu creates Shannon as her servant personality and GaapBeatrice as a witch personality.

Shannon falls in love with Battler who never returns, she receives no letters and falls into DESPAIR. She shoves her love for Battler onto the ClairBeatrice persona who becomes Beatrice from the painting after Battler's ideal.

Shannon as Beatrice solves the epitaph and becomes the new head, but passess all of the responsibility to Krauss.

The Beatrice Maria talks to is really Shannon using the witch personality and mannerisims.

Is that about right? How is the eye color/hair color difference explained? A wig? contacts?

>> No.6668663

>>6668646
I don't think there really is any difference. When Will was talking to the cousins earlier in the episode, I believe it mentions that the Beatrice talking to Maria didn't have to look like Beatrice at all, so long as they said they were Beatrice and could do "magic."

If it was unfair people wouldn't have come up with the fact it was delusions as soon as episode 2. But they did. Hell, even episode 1, which didn't show obvious delusions like the following ones, had Battler say time and again most of what people believed was happening must be delusions, and the parents mentioned Kinzo's witch must be a delusion too, and so on. It's been a central theme from the beginning and you simply didn't read carefully enough.

He always, ALWAYS pushed the fact that Battler wasn't coming back and has probably forgotten about the family.
And the thing is, we never see Battler's thoughts during that time.

I'm theorizing that Battler wrote to Shannon that he still cared about her and shit, but would need some time. However, George just hid the letter or destroyed it and Shannon never received it, and thus, never replied. This, in turn, made Battler think that Shannon forgot about him and the promise, so he also repressed that memory and forgot it eventually.

In short, George is a scheming faggot.

Actually, you never meant any of it and just thought it sounded cool at the time? Yeah. Pretty douchey.

Joji "Battler will never, never, never, never come back, he don't remember about us, and will never come back, oh, did I metion he won't never come back?"

Shannon "You sure...? maybe..."

Joji "No, never, maybe he does remember Jessica, Maria, the parents, Kumasawa, Genji, random servants and me, but I can assure you he doesn't remember you, and never will come back and of course won't fulfill any promise he made to you.
I think I haven't said it...but he will never come back"

I mean, why else would Featherine and Ange go off about what the requirements for furniture to exist are in Episode 6? That seemed somewhat out of place.

I'm getting sick of this "Oh if you don't understand the truth after Ep 7 you're a lost cause"

That's such bullshit. We still don't have any real motive for Yasu to set up the roulette and kill people.

And nobody's explained anything. The fact that Yasu had a harsh life doesn't lead directly to the actions she took. That's a complete non sequitor.

But since that's what they think Ep.7 said, they just regurgitate it like it makes them enlightened when in reality they know fuck all.

Part of the roulette; if the adults solved the epitaph she would take blame.

Fine, fine, I'll try again.

Please respect that this is, of course, a theory, or set of theories, and I don't claim that my view of things is absolutely true. Also for the sake of simplifying things I'm going to refer to Yasu as a male, though I think there's equal evidence for both genders.

>Yasu is insane and has multiple personalities.
Yasu is probably a little crazy. How could you not be when you're a sickly little kid who's lied to your whole life and eventually manipulated into becoming something you never wanted to become (Beatrice)?

But I don't think he has multiple personalities. Nothing matches up with what that entails in the real world. Yasu has, at first, imaginary friends in the form of Shannon and Gaaptrice. When Yasu decides to 'become a witch', he lets Shannon take over--or at least, that's what it appears to be at first.

But remember how Yasu was always clumsy and not the most reliable when it came to servant work? He created Shannon (who might or might not have been based on a real person) to be an ideal, to be someone to look up to. However, when Shannon 'takes over', she really is just like Yasu—still clumsy, maybe a little more reliable but only because she's been working there for quite a while. Yasu never really switched personalities, or anything like that—he's more or less the same as he was before. Also, Yasu was a nickname, and his real name (or blessed name) should be Shannon. So when people start to refer to him as Shannon, it's not like he has a different personality and is now demanding to be called that, that was his real name all along.

>> No.6670665

>>6670662
Kanon is really vague and not explored very much. I think, in the course of the gameboards, Kanon is something Yasu made up when she wrote them, but she based him on a real person. On the real Rokkenjima (the only one that matters in the end when it comes to the culprit and motives, sorry), Kanon might have existed as a real servant, or he might not have existed at all. I'm honestly still not sure about him, or what ever happened with Jessica and him, so I admit that my theory isn't complete.

>Yasu is murderous.

In the world that we're shown in EP7—the world where Kyrie and Rudolf killed almost everyone, Yasu is shown to not have any real murderous intent. Did he set up the possibility for murders? Maybe. If so, I can completely understand where this sentiment comes from. But Bern doesn't finish that red truth. She can't say as a whole this world, as presented, is the absolute real thing. Battler's views on the mystery seem to clash greatly with the way Yasu is shown.

cont. in next post (holy fuck this took me forever to type out)

>> No.6670675

>>6670665
In fact, everyone who has been said to know the truth behind Yasu treats him as a matyr. He wrote episodes 1-2 and, as an extension in the meta, 3-4. In those he put himself as the murderer, as the culprit. He was trying to be the scapegoat. However, in 1-4, the clues to the real culprit do exist.

Personally I think murders were never supposed to occur. Yasu set up the whole thing and planned to bribe the parents to play along with him, making a 'murder mystery' for Battler to solve and remember him. This is why the murders in EP6 are fake ones, to show that Battler really does understand what happened. However, the real culprit took advantage of this situation, and that's why the massacre occurred.

>Yasu is a slut

I guess people are just trolling with this, but Yasu was loyal to Battler for what, 3 years? When Shannon decides to move on from Battler, George is there to take her in. It's not like she's going out with two guys at the same time or anything. Still not sure what was going on with Jessica, though.

I just thought of something that makes Sayo Yasuda's motives much more believable, and justifiable to Battler:

"She honestly thought she was a witch, with magical powers. Thus, she honestly believed that even if she killed the family members, they'd all be resurrected at the end, in accordance with the epithet ritual. Therefore, she didn't think she was doing anything all that bad or cruel by planning their murders."

The question is, does Battler take a Kantian or Utilitarian perspective of morality ("the intentions of your actions determine their morality" vs "the results of your actions determine their morality"? When it comes to "deciding if it's a justifiable motive," it must be Kantian here.

They are all just personifications, not real people, even Battler.

Meta-Beatrice may have been born from Yasu but she isn't her, she is just the mystery.
That's why Meta-Battler was able to create his own Beatrice, his own version of the mystery.

What if Battler was the culprit all along? Maybe he never forgot about Shannon, but purposefully made it look so in order to awake the insanity locked inside her that he found out about while he was bonding with her 6 years before the incident. He might have been so disgusted with Rudolf's actions that he wished death upon the Ushiromiyas, plus it's never really explained why he decided to go back, especially after George and Jessica (in EP7) were both fairly certain he'd never actually return.
