The thing people didn't like about most Shkannontrice (I think) is that it was a copout to solve the closed rooms and shit. Well, that and the shipperfags were whining.

But the thing about Yasu is his/her's multiple personalities and general craziness really have no bearing on what happens in the real world. The real Rokkenjima is the only one that matters in the end, and we're not even sure what happened on it yet.

>> No.6665432

>>We will never again talk about Yasu's motive. If you haven't gotten it until now, too bad

That's such bullshit. Not one person has explained it to me. If I don't get it by my self, then fine, maybe I'm in a minority. But nobody else has been able to present a decent answer either, other than "She crazy" which goes against the point of Will finding "the heart".

The motive was how she struggled and struggled to take a hold of her life, how she fell in love, thought to be loved back and waited, trying to keep hope feeling like shit and crying herself to sleep everyday.
And then she is told she was tied by fate all along, she was there to make a old rapist feel better and nothing of what she did was really her doing. Not even becoming Beatrice was her decission, she always was Beatrice.

That's such bullshit. There is no decent motive in there, at all. But when you throw out something like that, the people who think they have it figured out can say stupid shit and there's no proper discussion about it.

Just because the ep itself says that doesn't mean it's true. If you've discovered Yasu's motive, then you should be able to explain it to me. I might not be able to appreciate the "Heart" of it, but you should still be able to explain WHY she set up the murder roulette.

She didn't "kill" though. From the get go it's shown it's not a real murder.

And it was in the situation of magical trap demons appearing, telling her to do it, and it basically took arguments from Kanon, Shannon, George, and Battler to convince her to go with it.

Jessica in episode six can be defined as this.

Trap Twins: KILL FOR LOVE
Jessica: That's fucking stupid
Kanon: Come on, you gotta do it!
Jessica: Can't we just play guitar or something?
Shannon: Come on, do it!
Jessica: But it's fucking idiotic...
George: All the better that you don't, wuss

Battler: Don't you have love?! Do it!

I think the stress finally got to her. One of the things that was emphasized in the flashback was Yasu's almost superstitious belief that "Battler would come back when I'm ready to change my life" and then him coming back at precisely that time was the straw that broke the camel's back.
The reason I have trouble really liking George/Shannon is because it's all about what George wants and dreams about. I think Shannon could have a quiet happiness like that, at the cost of murdering the most vibrate charming part of herself. It makes sense to me that Battler coming back would shake her resolve if only because he's another option she had given up on.
Whether or not that makes sense to you, I can't judge. I just know that if I was in the position of potentially regaining a time in my life I had been truly happy VS an absolute promise of a quiet life subordinate to another person's dream, it would be painful for me too.

For example, Kyrie meeting her end is fitting, she brought it upon herself.

Jessica really didn't do much to set into motion her demise, and thus her fate really fucking sucks.

Nothing in Yasu's flashback indicates that she's a sociopath on the magnitude of being able to kill her best friend and the people she cares about. She didn't even want to displace Natsuhi and Krauss's places. Sigh. If you didn't get it from the story I don't know what to say. If Battler came back in 1985, George wouldn't have reached the point where he was ready to propose to Shannon. Jessica and Kanon wouldn't have anything special going on either. So if Battler came back then, Beatrice would give her affection for Battler back to Shannon, and everything would be hunky-dory. The massacre might still happen, but it might not, because Beatrice wouldn't be manipulating events to set it up. And Kinzo is dead. So there isn't anyone giving the family any great motivation to solve the epitaph.

If Battler didn't come back till '87, George would have married Shannon (presumably) and taken her from that place, so the same deal. Krauss's investments would have finally paid off, he'd be out of debt, and Kinzo could finally die and have the inheritance split. The other family members would either have gotten out of their crises or gone bankrupt, depending on how well they did or did not extort Krauss in '86.

The massacre still happens in Lion's world because Kinzo is still alive and he uses the epitaph to try and solve the matter of Lion taking over the headship. But without Yasu's interference in the other worlds, the epitaph would probably remain unsolved.

Yasu is the culprit in all of the first four episodes. But who is working with Yasu is subject to some debate. Kyrie is too practical to have wasted time on crazy schemes with ghost stories and witches and shit. The 'test' mechanic sounds like her, but the rest of the shit surrounding it is completely unneeded. And I really doubt Kyrie would work with someone else and NOT betray them. And I doubt even more that she'd let herself be the one tricked and betrayed.

I'd also point out that there were clearly two guns at work in this episode- the one that killed Kyrie, Gohda, Kumasawa and George, and the one that killed pretty much everyone else (heads blown off vs bullet hole in the head).

There really isn't a need to change guns back and forth, so I'm going to guess there was a second shooter. But that second shooter didn't participate in the dining room massacre.

You guys are missing a big hint in the Ep4/7 comparison: The fact that the victims are called out 2 at a time.

In Episode 7, this is because there are 2 killers. Both victims are killed at roughly the same time.

In Episode 4 however, George is killed first, even though he was called out second. Jessica seems to know how he died.

Now, lets assume there are 2 killers in Episode 4. Why call out victims 2 at a time? Why take the first one called out prisoner and then kill the second? And then kill the first?

You see where this is going? The only reason to call out Jessica first, even though she's supposedly going to be killed second, is if Jessica was working with the killer. This is also why Gohda and Kumasawa kept to the story they were instructed to tell- they were told one of the cousins was in on it too.

Mayhaps Jessica had a spare key to the storage shed and killed Gohda and Kumasawa, then waited for George in the garden? Remember- the gun used to kill George, Gohda and Kumasawa was different than the one that blew everyone's heads off in the dining room, if the wounds are any indication. So they were probably all killed by the same person, at roughly the same time.

Or rather, you won't know thus they fall into the superposition argument in which they can be argued to be both at the same time, while still not being both while being one of them.

That was sort of the point of Schrödinger's cat thesis, one he actually made while pointing out the absurdity of quantum physics.

So someone would have to strip Yasu.

Something like the fact that almost all people who are suffering DID are not conscious of it themselves, in the first place? Are certainly not as clairly as Shkannontrice.
The way Kanon have been (supposedly) created also doesn't fit.
etc.
Also, it doesn't work with most of the tricks, except if you don't care about the reality. But then you can also go into a fantasy-viewpoint, and period. This have been discussed so many time that you will certainly find it in archives.
If it is something, it is some bullshit about LULZimaginaryfriends, nothing else. Nothing new since ep7 in japanese.

But that's pretty much what happened, though the result was the possibility for murder on Yasu's part rather than definite murder.

DID in fiction works completely differently:
See KnK, Xenogears

We are talking about a supposed fair mystery here.
Well, about a mystery in the first place.
Else, you can also say that " A WITCH DID IT" and that's <good>.

Then explain to me how her being indecisive could possibly make her plan gruesome murders and possibly even carry them out?
That is not being indecisive.

There's actually a lot of hints that may make Jessica out right a culprit behind all the murders (Being Beatrice does not necessarily mean being the culprit. Someone could have manipulated Yasu)

Hints such as what?

>> No.6666569

Potential Theory:
Jessica arrives in her room, and is soon taken to the dining hall, either in person or by a letter. Here, she sees the six people Kumasawa and Gohda said to be dead seemingly dead on the ground; however, it is simply a fake murder scheme. George arrives soon after, or is already there. Then, the murderers arrive with guns; using them, they blow up the heads of those "dead" one by one, whilst threatening the two cousins. After they finish killing the six, they hold the cousins down, and start to give them commands, possibly having something to do with Battler's or Maria's test, or even to get themselves to Kuwadorian in an act of mercy. Either way, they both try to escape, and as George rebels he gets hit hard with a stake in the forehead, while Jessica manages to get away. She gets into the hallway her room is connected to before the killers can see down the hallway- as such, they don't know which room she hides herself in. In her own room, she locks the door and calls Battler. She tells him that they're magic so that Battler won't try to go against them; Jessica's figured out that the only way to survive is to agree. To also prevent him from trying to get revenge, she keeps the killers' identities secret. She knows that they'll come and shoot her head open, and she knows that George had been killed instantly; in the call, she actually says nothing about his location. As she finishes, the killers find her and shoot her.

Kyrie's gun didn't work on Jessica but it worked on Gohda. Also, considering Yasu's backstory would give Jessica the perfect motive if we add in >>6666577. Pretty much she was trained her entire life to be the head however she wasn't gonna be it from the beginning.
